98vet, it would be very hard to go back to working on mainstream heaps, for sure. Sometimes its my job to look at them, and I am glad for the variety of vehicles. Keep passin thru here, I'll keep throwin em down every so often til I run out, but theres always the next one!

EHB I think its a '68, those ran 67-9 only. 70 got piggy alongside the Mustang. That one is a cream puff, it was much better off than the first one bought for the build. It was too rusty and now continues to rot in the weeds. That Supra Coug gets driven about one month a year, he usually stops in to discuss a few more mods each time but about deer season he uses it for a few weeks then it comes back for the next round.

Booba, I wasn't fast enuf to snap Red Bronc smash pics. Flattened the frame just at the very end (rt rear) and creased the quarter badly. Luckily since its a clean original specimen, a floor pulling tower run by an able tech was enough to correct most of the metal. The gas tank though, man it took the majority of the energy. Wadded that thing up but it performed well in the crash and didn't spill a drop. Just a reminder how crash safety belongs in every build.

At least it was saved. I still say the driver that hit the Bronco should feel like they ran over a kitten or something. Actually, if you have ever read the lyrics to Blood Hound Gang's "I Hope You Die," that would probably be sufficient. Minus the die part, I rarely wish death on people, lol.

It was just a little swat. Takes more'n that to put an EB down. This one usually applies to my post-collision dramas. Minus the die part, of course: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiMaOmDtaYI

Forgive the randomness, thats just how it is. I take it that you guys can figure out what you're looking at, and if not, ask. Or lets make it a guessing game if you're stuck indoors today.

That was a kinda lame shiny post. Heres a bonus, ha ha. Bear claw latch conversion with Kindig-It door handles on a tri-five Chevy truck:

Bottom pic is on a 65 GTO. Again, you might see these projects pop up here in various stages. Look for the clues!

I hardly had energy to raise the camera but I did holler burnout at the boss, lol. Strange, but nobody in the pic worked on it very much. Grins for the house though, as tail lights go into trailer! Ah. Sure am glad it has that sound, man it goes good with the car. Wicked. Stands approx. 46" tall and smells great. This top pic gives you an idea of the body drop involved, look behind the rear wheel. Is that sufficient lowz? I think it would knock over a pack of Luckys (50s talk). Its unfinished but we're on track for SEMA. BTW that cone is temporary, you'll crap a moon rock when the shaker and engine bay are complete and the bird and letters are painted on. Past few weeks are a blur...

Just you wait, man. OZ interiors do not disappoint, they are truly works of art. Anxious to see what he comes up with. Of course the wood steering wheel is temporary, and there is a load of Alpine in it too. The finished car should satisfy on many levels.

The 50 Ford got shot, theres your shiny...

I started this thread back when it was decided to use 2002 GP trunk hinges as part of the hood hinges on that 72 TA, so heres a follow-up to that. Welded one up today and I figured it would bring all the real welders out of the woodwork if I posted pics. I am a bodyman using a MIG. Theres one tab the fab guy TIG-ed to it and all the tacks ae his but this gives you some idea what I am frequently tasked to beautify.

    The hybrid hinge, as recieved:

Woops no before pic of other side.

After prep and welding, side that faces the hood:

Side that faces the world. This bead is mainly for fill so I can provide a little radius to the joint:

You don't have to be very good at welding, but grinding skill is essential lol:

Its fun welding thick stuff, I rarely get to do that.

Thanks Scott. You can do it too. I blame brand new welder, ha.

Eric, you're right! It was a good way to spend half the day, I've actually been looking forward to the hinges lol.

There was a new arrival Friday, just in for A/C work I'm told. Snapped these this morning when I stopped in to see my friend who was workin on his Jeep. Played with his dogs while we exchanged tales of injury difficulties and bench raced hot rods for a spell.

These are pretty cool but I like the next body style better. Still awesome, looks like a fun driver to me. All 60s Fords in this pic except for the first gen Vette tail light and 39 Plymouth bumper representing the six banger crowd. Can you find the L67 in these?
