What didja find? I think its just bright yellow. But there may also be a three-stage color you can get. I didn't scope the label or ask painter for specifics.
Getting old sucks, I can't remember where to find the stand-up bit about the kid at a science fair with a solar system model who can only say what the planet in the middle is... its yellow! Thought it was Bill Engvall maybe. I kinda did that to the painter when I saw the car. Said "That must be the sun!" and squinted and shaded my eyes. He thought it was funny but now I want to find that comedy bit.
oops. lol
The black stripes on yellow is what Bumblebee's color sceme has been since the first Transformers. And in the recent "Micheal Bay" interpretation, Bumblebee is an old '69 Camaor, yellow with black racing stripes. I've seen ALOT of yellow and black Cam's since that movie... lol
Yep I've seen the movie with the hot girl and 69 Camaro. That was also a very popular color combo in reality. The one I found and fixed for my chick around the time you were born was pearl white with black. The one my neighbor had (real Z\28) was ratty as heck but looked great in silver and black. I assure you this customer's choice has nothing to do with Transformers lol. It's sure to be a hit with the kiddos, though. I can imagine the look this guy will give the people who walk up talking about Bumblebee! He is an old rodder character, and started this build in the 90s. His plans for it are to stomp it and giggle a lot.
Me, being young, I thought what most my age would think. I'm also extremely glad the choice was not made because of the movie... That was over-done within weeks of it coming out in theatres, barely long enough for the paint to dry lol
I can imagine the looks, and the confused faces as he takes off in his "not Bumblebee" lol
Thank goodness!
The wierd part for me was when somehow suddenly without warning... my input matters. Darndest thing. Maybe its how long you work someplace, rather than how long you've been alive. I've been at the Shack long as I've been anywhere. By year two, the boss knows who he hired. By year three, you have some idea who you are working for. By year five, you figure out how not to mash each other's buttons and if both employer and employee are satisfied, you have a job you can keep as long as you want. Been through that cycle many times.
How to put the accumulated wisdom to use is the crafty part.Heres a tip... sound is the most basic tool for tuning your environment, people included, to your liking. Theres more to that than just finding a good song.
I bet after he has the car out and about for a couple months, he will have to watch "these dadgum robot movies" to find out what people mean when they comment on his ride. LOL. Naw really he looks about my age. When he brought the car, there were zero smiles. Now he even jokes around and stuff, so apparently we've "pulled a thorn from his paw". Having this car done will change his life for the better.
I totally didn't notice the moon shot lol. Where is your mind, boy? Thats only like 5 minute's dust on the stool. I wear that much powder home daily.
Finished the Datsun passenger door and started on the trunk lid, and theres more dust for ya.
I really like my new HF DA, it has a plastic body and is easier on the old hand by about a pound. Much quieter than what I had, too.

These shirts are so long they are like dresses lol. Dadgum Mike must have spaced his belt that day. Dang ol boy won't pull his pants up. He could get a ticket for that in some cities! Check that uppermost sticker on the rack out though. So creative lol
