Our 2015 SEMA show project. 1973 Trans Am body squished onto a Roadster Shop chassis with Mast Motorsports LS7 under the hood and interior by Oz (in Kansas lol).

Today was the day it had to be loaded up, and we had to finish. Well I think the horn button is left, lol. Anyway, its outta here and thats a strange feeling, done.
I rushed a lot lately, we all did. Today I was busy making some covers that go over the (2002 GTP trunk / this Firebird's hood) hood hinges at the cowl. Fiberglass was the way to go.

Didn't get a pic of those finished, oh well. Man, a lot of work has been across that bench. When I can't stop for pics, you know time is tight!
By the time I had those painted, the hood had been padded and shut for the trip so dammit no completed engine shot. Meh, my flare fits. Buff job is OK.
You guys would NOT believe how hard this car fought us. Oh my the stories...

Got me a couple flash interior shots, waited around to see if it would sit still for a moment once pulled outside. I was banking on getting badass pics then.

Uh-Oh, camera battery no juice now. Dead. Snatched the cover off the phone while the car was on the move headed into the trailer. It didn't stop, hadda go! So... this is all I got. Look for it at SEMA 2015, folks. Its a stunner in person, even when not running. Low, mean, nasty and naturally aspirated to boot. Oh yeah, and its a Pontiac!

Oh and... I knew you'd be OK with the look once you saw it. Formula scoops would interrupt and complicate the bird IMO. FWIW, the shaker is much larger than a stock one. In one of the interior shots you can see a piece of the air filter. It should honk nicely without a horn lol.

Sweet sweet ride. So Sema is in vegas that's not to far from me sooooo you can drop it by my place :D
Re: Work junk, and junk... at work. By 'junk.
Thanks Eric. You could just park it under a WWII era Caddy, right? Just go see the show, its open to the public now. You two guys remind me of those kitty pictures from the interweb with the caption "I can haz" on 'em. LOL I was trying to find one with a bird ha ha.

Like that, lol.
Seriously, I've noticed a trend in comments on my '69GP. A troubling new phrase is popping up. Everyone has mostly always said "nice car" for all these years.
Now, the younger kids scream "Give me your car!". Thats wrong, and I don't respond to it because if I did, I'd hurt some feelings lol. I always thank the rest kindly. "I can has?" mentality irks me somethin fierce. But I'm strange and think gifts are often a bad thing. What I do enjoy is showing folks what is possible with some imagination once a guy pulls his head out of the engine compartment and gives some thought to what he CAN do elsewhere. Its just not working.
Re: Work junk, and junk... at work. By 'junk.
its not just you i noticed the same thing. its on any nice car you get the 20 and under (the give me now) crowd just want to have and not "earn it". then if the little fvckers have a nice car they tell you how they bought it when its mommys and daddies car. We had people ask us if we would trade a 2000+ corvette for a 1972 chevelle convertible ummm hell fvcking no asshat. then we had people want to trade for a beat to hell falcon telling us that its worth more than the chevelle. people these days are just nuts with the give me now attitude.

Thought it might just be me! I suppose these issues are as old as man and that as with anything, understanding is a two-way street. I'm willing to share.
In that more modern spirit, I just logged into FBook for a Fbird pic check. When I got there, I said "I can haz" to these pics from my boss's page. Theres an engine shot! And Murray Pfaff commented on the car, whoa! That means a little something to me. Also found another cool one from when last year's was on TV. Want to know how these vehicles were made to look this way? Ask.
Wheres the GTP?

Those little cover plates I made yesterday aren't in that pic but they go at the front bottom of the hood hinges, on the wheelwells. Paint was still drying on the windshield wipers.

Re: Work junk, and junk... at work. By 'junk.
poor Courtney's getting long in the tooth these days lol she used to be rather f ing hot. how shes hung on to that gig when 80% of the shows have new hosts and all have new show names, but are the same show lol
Re: Work junk, and junk... at work. By 'junk.
The car and attention to detail are spectacular ..
Re: Work junk, and junk... at work. By 'junk.
Hey thanks, Bill. On behalf of the crew!
Scott, I'm workin on getting a TV going... its complicated but maybe one day I'll catch up with the world lol. I wouldn't kick her out for eating crackers in bed.
Re: Work junk, and junk... at work. By 'junk.
she hosts this block of shows, shes the one who does the interviews with the featured cars each week, like yours was. she looked a hell of a lot better 15 years ago. trust me lol
http://www.powerblocktv.com/ they have full shows on line too. all engine building muscle car rebuilding, 4x4 show and a truck show. every show they tare stuff up and rebuild it.. or make it from a pile of tube steel. the extreme 4x4 show is good, guys a bit over the top but they build cool stuff.
Re: Work junk, and junk... at work. By 'junk.
i remember what she looked like 15 years ago and now she is fugly!!
Re: Work junk, and junk... at work. By 'junk.
The Trans Am made it through the first round of "Battle of the Builders" at SEMA but not the second. Tough competition, so I hear. Still not bad.

Re: Work junk, and junk... at work. By 'junk.
