I think Belletire just ignored one of the tpms going out on the truck because they were busy and didn't want to do it. As my grandparents were on the way to get tires put on and one of the sensors just stopped reading. My grandpa told the guy and he said "yeah sometimes they just drop out like that" (mind you the truck has never just randomly dropped a tpms signal before nor have I heard them dropping signal randomly) and it and they put new tires on after it was done the guy said they "checked out okay". They get almost home and the light comes on again and the sensor isn't reading.
That tech is right though, they do just work or stop working at random.
They are only made to last 6-7 years on the battery, so it's about time they start dying.
Thats interesting never knew they did that. Sounds right tho, truck is an 08.
Sometimes you can get them to resync with the vehicle but if it keeps dying out the sensors battery is done.
The ones for the GM trucks arent very expensive either, you can pop them in and out in a few minutes without even taking the tire off the rim on a machine. Then activate the sensor with a tool and re-learn all 4 corners again.
Yeah I looked it up like 40 bucks which isn't bad.
I'm scheduled 9-5
I tend to roll in around 8.30 and leave at 4.30 to help dodge some of the traffic.
In the morning I can take the highway, which is 11 miles or so, takes me 16-18 minutes on a really good day, but 20 minutes on average. 8.30 or 9 am arrival doesn't matter travel is the same (unless there is an accident on the highway)
In the afternoon, if I leave a 4.30, I can take my half highway and half back road approach (highway just backs up for some reason), it is about 13 miles (or 15 if I take all back road), and whether I take the highway or not, its 30-35 minutes. If I leave at 5...that 13 mile trip takes anywhere from 40-60 minutes.
All my times are off right now because they just repaved a big chunk of the roads I take and never laid any trips for the lights. You hit every light now on this road no matter what you do and the cycles are STUPID LONG...and you have to wait for the turn lights even when no one is there.
Ordered a usb inspection camera for my phone off ebay, hopefully it works good could come in handy.
I'm binge listening to "This American Life" right now. All my usual stuff has been on Christmas/New Year break, and Pandora gets old quick (I listen at work). Best one so far:

Pretty interesting insight into the GM bankruptcy, unions, and car quality.
Lemme find it, only works with Android for the one I have. Also your phone has to support OTG.
Supposed to be here Monday, I'll let you know how it works gonna probe the snow blower.
Do the impeller upgrade on the snowblower while you're at it....
It's a rubber (material varies between vendors) piece you install on the steel impellers to close the gap between the impeller and housing. Takes your snow throwing power from 3'-10' to like 30' ! Even slings the wet stuff too
youtube videos show installation and operation.
