If you are looking for a way to clean the inside, I know for my Blazer tank, it was suggested to get a rust remover (can't remember what) and a length of chain. Then add chain and mixture to tank, seal holes, then shake vigorously for a while. Then remove contents. Repeat if necessary, or clean it and then use a coating line the one mentioned.

If you google cleaning motorcycle tanks there should be several how to's as well, which may work better on something smaller, since my tank was 21 gallons.

Jimmy that's not a bad idea. Lots of useful things. I'll try some and if it doesn't work I'll just get a new tank.

Thanks. And I tried. Ended up using tracing paper for the letter on the frame. And then cut it into regular paper as a stencil lol. I gotta start my hunt for the color orange. Or close as possible orange.

It's just fun to see something you could throw in the dumpster brought back to life. Especially since old equipment is generally built waaay better than today's stuff - preserving that quality is cool.

We use to have a really old roto tiller up at our cabin. After not running for maybe 10 years, my brother and I put some new gas in it and it started right up. The fact that it was shooting flames from the exhaust was just an added benefit. Unfortunately, it has probably been thrown away recently. Bringing that back to life would have been similar to your work.

Just gives me the warm fuzzies.

Yup this thing does work better than new ones. Just needed a little TLC.
