if i was 18 this car would have blown and engine or a tranny up with style lol good thing when i was kid cars were still made of real metal, and strong parts. i did kill a few engines in my youth but a used 350 was like everywhere for under 400. if not free from a friend. yeah that happened. 77 gmc engine blew up, i put a caprice classic 350 in it. it lacked the 4 bolt mains the gmc engine had, but it ran.

Soo I looked at a 97 GTP today for possible parts....
Has only 263k.........
if I can haggle him down to like 2 or 300 I might buy it for the top end and part or scrap the rest. Worries me tho at 263k what the condition of the heads and M90 are.

Well considering our heads usually don't have issues.. I think you'll be fine. Same for the gen 3..so wht if you may have to swap a few parts. Plus machine shop can check the heads for you if needed.

I'll give the guy a call Monday hes probably pretty firm at 800 tho, I wonder if the trans is fubar. Then I have to see if my grandparents would care if I left it in the garage so I can part it out or if I'll be forced to put it behind the house by the shed. Then find someone with a car trailer or a car dolly, no way in hell I would drive that 15 miles home lol.

I agree with red especially cause of the miles too. If it was well taken care of miles maybe but a person that lets their car rot like that?....

id drive that for 15 miles. only if i paid like 200 for it. no way its road worthy. full blown parts car. the shell is worth like 300 or more as scrap. more if you take all the plastic out of it. aka clean scrap, full value.
