And for god sake don't throw duck tape over it either.. It's a easy fix. Just requires a but of your elbow grease.

And before you say hey it had duck tape on it before it didn't bother me etc etc..

Well it's obvious that you can about your car enough to start modding it and making purchases like the DA, new taillights and tips etc so don't let a bit of elbow grease scare you.

I always refer to Scotty because he gives great detail on how to do things vs me.. Well I'll give you the basics and go from there lol. I have no patient for typing out details but yea do what he has outlined before that's how I do things for the most part.

Yeah thats what I do. Everything I leanred about cars, computers ect was from a lot of hours lurking the interwebz. I'll probably keep this car till it splits in half from rust. Then learn to weld and fix it untill its a lost cause. All the info we all have we could probably open up a mega garage and do just about anything.

Oh my, I can't stay quiet... If any of you had some idea whats involved in actual body work, you would crap a moon rock. Seriously, no offense intended but I'm waiting for somebody to say break off a crayon in those tag holes ... What is an old ass to do in a sea of plasti-dippers? I'd enjoy helping someone do something right but I haven't seen any of that here.

Russosaur, I ain't baggin on your decisions / work / any of that. Really. Scotty either. I enjoy your posts the most. But man if you ever want to know about how to return an panel to like-new condition, look me up. I have the education and experience, and truly enjoy spreading the knowledge. I also know about being broke and thats why I ain't breaking balls, lol.I ain't feeling the white down on the back bumper though Kyle. That splitter fix look like it stuck though. My GT had six zip ties down there, but under the edge. i did use all one color, lol.

I'm gonna outline the "Pontiac" letters on the back in marker before I take it off just to see how it looks. My grandpa likes it but, just too much contrast. I can take any criticism I always see it as a good thing. Been on enough forums and on the Internet long enough. Only things white are under hood and out of sight.

trust me if i had thousands of dollars worth of equipment to do it the body shop right way, i would chose too. but the good old rattle can paint jobs make the car look right at least. not perfect by a long shot as im no pro at this, but its easy to make it look 100 X better.

im pretty glad my bumper work is almost over with. a little more wet sanding and buffing and im walking away and not looking back, for at least a month till i can wax it up.

Back to norms, came off good gramps was amazed by the stuff. Power washer tomorrow will take off the remaining little bits in the creases of the bumper. I leanred thickness is key for easy removal

You're right, rattle can improvements beat looking at bad paint. Thats for sure. Theres always a way to get professional results without the full investment, though. But it gets tougher every day.

Not a bad idea experimenting with the sharpie, Kyle. I touch up my black with one sometimes.

+1 on Advil, thats the only thing that helps me. Try being 47 and sanding all day for months at a time! Hurts. Hell my back about locked up on me yesterday. Never had that happen!
