I just wanted to know if it was illegal to drive without my driver's side headlight assembly during the day in Iowa. Any advice will be taken notice of.

I think you very well could get a ticket or pulled over for it. I think that would fall under faulty equipment. Cops will pull you over if you have a headlight bulb burned out in Wisconsin so I would think removing the whole headlight would lead into how are you going to see at night and such.
sad part i saw cars in CA with no bumper or headlights. you could say that it was shattered if you get pulled over. but how many cars do you see with a headlight missing?
Yeah, I was just going to make a free cold air intake haha. I see your points.
So you're just doing it for a cai? That seems kinda dumb to remove a headlight just for that. Make a fwi and enjoy.
I'd say yes for the daytime but look for a ticket at night, not sure what the rules on DRL are there though?
I think it's a waste of time and a crappy look... unless you're making some passes at the track that is.
Its illegal unless your going to be using your hand as a turn signal.
It is beyond stupid to even consider that on a daily driver car. What are you going to do? Keep the headlight in the trunk and have to put it in when it gets dark? It will look completely stupid too and for what 1 hp?
Not to mention when water or dew gets sucked up into it. All the work for what +1 HP
Just removing the headlight does NOTHING for you. You have to already have an intake in place.
The gains from removing a headlight on a stock to mildly modded car are insignificant.
That being said, its Iowa... Half the **** on the road shouldn't be, and what is on the road most likely isn't insured.
