If you switch to "Veteran" button layouts it helps a lot, but it's still some getting used to the X button for everything.

Thanks!! that worked. And yeah im finding it hard to get used to using "x" for getting in and out of vehicles. Its also super annoying that you cant use the select button to mark people, i keep bringing up my online friends menu instead lol

Nearly unplayable on my PC and i can run BF3 on Medium at 1080p, my hardwares ancient though so I need to upgrade. Although, I'm on the fence since the PS4 will be able to run it exactly like the PC besides for no mouse/keyboard and the graphics are slight worse. But the gap from PC to PS4 is not as bad as PC to PS3, so it's tempting to buy it on PS4 instead of rebuilding my PC (4gb DDR2 LOL, Quad Phenom 3ghz, 560ti).

The game runs very smooth on PS3, i tried it on PC and it runs like poop. Then again i have old hardware and a lot of others said the same. The graphics, animations, UI, almost everything is better....Not just a rehash like COD, BF4 is an upgrade in nearly every way.

The console version has half the players and map size of the pc version though. Then again, the pc version usually can be picked up fairly cheap after the initial release if you switched back later.

Beta drivers would take care of most of your woes.

The game is too close to the last for me.

It's not as big as the step between DC and BF2 or BF2 and BF3.

Its not but its a heck of a lot better in every aspect. As for the drivers, i tried the old nvidia 220.49 from july? and the beta ones, still runs like crap.

    220? Perhaps 320? LOL.

    Well that sucks.

I don't see the improvements. The only map doesn't have vehicles either. At least it didn't in the few games I joined.

UI isn't improved, they changed it sure, but I wouldn't say it's an improvement. I can't even turn off the 10x10 px crosshair that's stretched across the centre of the screen. At least give me a small one if there's no option to turn it off.

Better yet, Origin won't open now.

Seems OK. Had vehicles and all of that jazz. I noticed everything not rendering sometimes, like all of the random stuff scattered on the ground. Looks like I'm walking on a gray haze. However, it's a beta... I'm sure they'll fix it. Idk, it feels closer to COD than bf3 did for some odd reason. Can't quite pinpoint it. Dropping the skyscraper kills those feelings for a bit.

I really hope the official version when released has more vehicles and air craft. But so far I like it. I absolutely hate that I can't get my controls to work like bf3

After playing it more you realize all of the subtle changes.

I'm still trying to figure out if it's the same for most guns, but when you reload your gun with 25 bullets still in the mag, you lose those rounds. I was trying to figure out why I always ran out of ammo.
