I've been racing for over 15 years and have seen this situation occur too often...the manly thing to do is step up and help cover the other guys damage as best as possible if it was your fault.
As I said above the car was staged crooked.
Cars with this much power racing on a poorly prepped track need to be staged properly in the groove...someone should have been up there to help him.

There actually was a guy who lined everyone up. I don't know what was different about this run, but it came out of nowhere... Nothing changed in his driving or launch, and the car shot out like a rocket the previous runs. Straight as an arrow
