It's up to 30% now? Man I remember going years ago and paid for lunch with an American $10 and got back a Canadian 10 and change! Then I am not sure when but maybe a couple of years ago it was 1:1 and then this last year it was about 20%.

.76 to be exact. You'd get that $10 CDN back now for sure. It was October or November of last year when we were at par with the US dollar. It was 20% a few months ago. Look at you paying attention to Canada. LOL

Well I do get up there a fair amount..... usually in the damn winter though. By the way I am a horrible judge of time unless I have a reference. The battery on our Forklift died one time and I told our Pres. that I thought it was still under warranty and as it turns out it was 8 years old.

I like going because Per Diem is like $120 a day in some places and usually about $90 or so in others.

Why oh why ECX, did you think that plastic was a good material to make gears out of, the least they could do is offer metal upgrade gears.

This is what the gear should look like.

There's got to be something you can fit in there. If it don't fit force it. Either that or order parts in bulk. When is your new motor coming in?

The diffs out of a Losi Mini 8ight fit right in, but there are not any axles that bolt up to the diffs that fit. Well new diffs are ~$17 a pop, they don't sell just the gears so it is not cost effective to buy diffs all the time.
Ordered the motor on Sunday, and they didn't ship it out until today at 4:00, so it won't be here until Tuesday. Really wish I would have noticed the threads about how bad the diffs are in this truck. The ECX 1/18 trucks all have this issue.

Their 1/10 trucks are actually pretty good. Jang at Ultimate Rc did a review of the 1/10 Torment, and during his durability montage all that happened was one of the axle slider shafts popped out.
Fast forward to 5:07 if you want to skip all the boring stuff.

They didn't have any of those at the local store, the nitro stuff they have is all the high end stuff Traxxas and Losi mainly. No 1/8th scale stuff they do have this though http://www.losi.com/Products/Default...rodID=LOS05007.

After 2 packs through the truck it is way funner than the 1/18. Built a ramp out of a cinder block and plywood, thing does good, missed the ramp on one run and hit the cinder block, one of the turnbuckles popped off and I just popped it back on. Gonna take it out to the BMX track tomorrow.
Planned upgrades are a couple 2s Lipos, 3s is a tad to much on the brushed system and it would just do wheelies all the time, metal turnbuckles, ECX diff upgrade, ECX Aluminum shocks, T-Bone Racing front bumper, and maybe some upgraded axles not sure if I want to get some aftermarket ones or mod some Traxxas VXL shafts to fit.

Just remember when you jump you can control the truck in the air. If you hit the brakes it will nose forward and blipping the throttle will roll it back. Make sure you don't land on the throttle that is always a good way to snap even the hardest axles.
