acceleration or top end, pic one
I just want to see how fast I can get it going, then I'll gear back down so I can bash with it.
I feel it should be faster, the Ruckus with the Dynamite Tazer system and a 7 cell NiMh will do 36 mph.

Took the Ruckus to the bmx track today, did a huge jump and landed in a grassy area then cartwheeled a few times, then landed back on the wheels and I noticed one of the wheels wasn't turning. I must have looked for that steering link for 30 min it was nowhere to be found.

Then in the process of making a makeshift steering link I snapped off part of the steering bellcrank
Looks like its time to clean my shocks again too.
Fixed. The LHS didn't have any steering links in stock. I'm gonna replace the stocks ones with Traxxas adjustable links.
Also the stock tires on this thing suck with the brushless setup, on dry pavement it just spins when you go full throttle, even with the punch control up to 20%.
So with that said I am seriously thinking about picking up a set of these for the rear http://www.sweepracingusa.com/Monste...set_p_569.html
Jared, since you just up and left chat.
I know its $129 and not $100, and I know its a truck and not a buggy, but this is a very amazing truck, it has tons of upgrades you can do and you can buy buggy bodies for $10 for it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Losi-1-18-Mi...item5415d7aa51
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOSI-MINI-T-...item1a01936d63 < who doesn't want a VW Bug buggy.
Will you people stop with your child 1/18 scales, my 4yo has one
He doesn't want to spend more than $100, I have not found a good 1/10 rc for under $100. They have a few 1/12 scale.
I told him not to make the same mistakes I did and just buy a real 1/10 or larger brushless.
He could get one of these, but it is worse quality than the WLToys http://www.nitrorcx.com/16c332-red-rtr-24g.html

Tell him to go to hell and stop talking to him, buy cheap junk you get cheap junk
This thing would be cool if it was 1/10 http://www.gearbest.com/rc-cars/pp_234126.html
All the reviews I have found for it are pretty positive, the quality of it is supposed to be fairly decent, and they even have an official thread over on URC about it.
Actually that one I linked on Nitrorcx is a decent one, I was thinking of the 1/8 scale Iron Track vehicles. Jared look into that Iron Track Tanto. I would recommend getting lipos and getting a lipo charger.
I bought a 2.5 T-Maxx a little bit ago, pretty fun little thing and fast too.
Flipped it a few times now and body is dinged a little but it's all part of the game. I just clean with my mini air compressor after every use to prevent build up and stuff. Tuning is a challenge for sure because of temp swings but it's not all bad and it's quick to dial in. Ran nearly 2 quarts through it already and I need more fuel, just going to buy a gallon this time.

2 quarts already? holy hell!
The tank is 125CC and it doesnt last but 10-15min if you are bombing it. Plus to run on a safe side and not blow it up, I do run it slightly rich and traxxas says thats okay per the manual. It still hits 2nd gear and flys thats for sure.
The little fuel filler dealio holds 500cc of fuel and thats gone in under an hour of drive time.
i always bought gallons. one thing about the t maxx. no need to worry about tagging a curb, it just goes over it at any angle it seems.
you can pick up a laser temp gun to check the temp of the head. best way to know if your lean. other then no smoke out the tail pipes lol
Yeah running up a curb at 30+ is easy but kinda scary at the same time, the suspension travels so much that sometimes it makes it unstable and it can get squirrelly on you.
I used my temp gun during break in and now I don't bother. Going by the smoke is easy now and it's always running at 210-240 whenever I do check.
Also, I need to take up stock in glow plugs I guess. I bought 3 extra from ebay and in 1 day I had two burn up like right away, so now I only have 1 extra.
all glow plugs are not created equal thats for damn sure. cheap ones dont last long, but the traxxas ones seem to last the longest. iirc years ago they were 8 bucks a pop, the cheap ones were like 4 or 5.
the break in deal will kill that first glow plug.
i used to get a gallon fuel easy out of a glow plug, if not more. you do have a larger engine then i did. you got the 3.3 iirc? i had the older 12 and a few up graded OS 15's cause you learn to have a spare engine in the tool box lol
