Any of you guys have nitro planes? Just got mine out today and started it for the first time in a few years. Motor is about 30 years old now. Tuning sucks lol.
This one looks like a better deal, but I'm not sure I want to make the jump to nitro yet. http://www.nitrorcx.com/51c812-fireyellow-24ghz.html
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!
Iv always wanted to try a plane, im fine with a 10mph one but I dont fancy trying to find a large enough area to fly it.
Slick that nitro is cheaper, there is no info on it, but you still need nitro fuel, glow plug ignitor with spare batteries and charger, spare glow plugs, AND a must have infrared temp gauge, primer bulbs are nice to have to.
I found some YouTube videos of it. And this thread http://www.ultimaterc.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=159559

Just get a pump that hooks up to a gallon bottle! It is so worth it. I have all the space in the world here in Nebraska. Closest city is 250 miles away...... I would highly recommend the planes. Just buy one of the 60 inch trainers with a 40 engine on it. great to learn on.
Man just the cheap styrofoam planes where everything is glued in are fun to fly and brushless they have huge power to weight ratios. I can't fly them just can't see them very well.
thats the plane i had, but i got the 60 engines so i could use the larger engine in the smaller plane when id "up grade" yeah right.
open area is not around here, you need to be in a club, use the little air port they own have your proof of ins, to much BS to bother with here.
does look like a ton of fun tho. crashing a plane is a bit worse than say hitting a curb at 30 mph tho lol and every landing theres a chance of huge failure i suppose.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this truck? http://www.amazon.com/Traxxas-37054-.../dp/B00OK3AC9M
Seems like a good one. Lots of parts available. Can't find any videos of the most recent version though.

This was the truck I have, with the stock setup as shown they aren't very fast, but the slower you go the less parts you break. I have replaced every part on my truck, there are no original parts left on it. I said earlier how I smashed into a storm drain and had to replace the upper and lower frame, bulkhead, A-arm, steering knuckle and several other parts. I spent $35 fixing it so it's cheap to fix and everyone stocks Traxxas parts. I have even upgraded the transmission to all steel gears, bearings are common for them and don't bother with Aluminum A-arms and stuff because instead of breaking or bending then snapping back into place they bend and through off the alignment. Use RPM aftermarket parts they have a warranty, and are more forgiving of damage. This is the same truck I was able to get to 89 mph. I'll post a pick of it when I get home.
Jeff
my ex's kid had one it was pretty cool. its a buggy. they come in nitro too.
my brothers got a nitro revo, does like 55+ out the box. all wheel drive 2 speed trans w/reverse. mean buggy.

Yeah $600 for an rc car is a bit much.
I'm thinking either that Traxxas Rustler or maybe the Traxxas Nitro Sport.

Slick I think you need to sit down with yourself and have a talk on what the hell you really want.
Me personally would choose a 1/8 nitro monster truck 4x4 and just be done with ****. Go anywhere do anything
One day I will try this guy, very reliable and can take a beating.
