I hit the inside of storm drain doing about 45 and had to replace the upper and lower chassis, front bulkhead A-arm, servo case and a few misc pieces for $35. If the thing will do 30 mph then eventually break some small part so being able to get spares is important.

I'm not getting the one from China. I am most likely going to get that ECX Ruckus as like I stated earlier it fits in with what I want. I checked for the parts for this car, everything is pretty low priced, I think the most expensive part was the battery. You can order and replace every single piece on this car.
I'm not going to be drag racing just playing around in the road by my house, there are no curbs here so I dont have to worry about that.
Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
I said the same thing when I started playing with my Rustler. Next thing I knew it had more power than I could handle. Lol.

Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
1/18 scale? come on now
The main problem with the chinese r/cs are the electronics, servos crap out fast, esc sometimes doesnt play nice. I have upgraded all the electronics on the boys Iron track bowie except the stock motor.http://www.nitrorcx.com/16c333-green-rtr-24g.html
out of the box though the thing has some nice balls and the 4x4 is a monster. Gave my modified twin detonator a run for the money, other than the electronics and unmovable objects everything else doesn't hiccup.
Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
I read a lot of reviews on the Ruckus and the main complaint seemed to be about the charger that comes with it. So I purchased a universal charger.

Try to run in the dirt as much as you can the tires will wear fast on concrete and it's going to be difficult in the grass unless it's really short. Just a tip.

Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
I live on a gravel road so no problem there.
Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
Never noticed this thread I guess, will have to get some pics of my collectin. It includes a 95mph Exceed 1/8th mad drift, Traxxas rustler mostly aluminum, A hpi e10 drifter that has a hard body lambo body with turn signals down to hazard, a helion invictus. I'm more of speed freak, the exceed actually blew its tires off and 95mph is what I got on the gps. I have ordered grp belted tires for it since they did great on my rustler runs. When Castle gets me my new monster esc im looing to get into the triple digits.

That one is pretty cool I haven't seen that before. Looks like it's based on the old Lunchbox chassis they are fun. You might consider one like this one as well:
