the layout is simple as hell. 1 motor 4 wheel drive. Sad to say its pretty quick stock, I dont think it can take my twin 15T, but its pretty close. Ill have to race it with the women when its warmer out.

Another side note I REAAAAALLLLYYYY want that 1/5 scale Redcat rampage xt! But right this second that $600 is going towards goodies for the gtp.

started making the boat trailer, hopefully I can put the boat on the lake soon I keep forgetting I have it.
1/2" square steel, little over 3' long, made it little bigger than the boat so A. If I want a bigger boat it should fit. B. A 1/10 car will fit no problem.

    Im thinking tri axle.

Welding sucks when the only helmet you have left that isnt broke is a shade where you can almost not see the bead. SO the trailer guy the eyes closed pull trigger game.

you just need some bunks for the boat to sit on and some little itty bitty tie downs lol tandem axles would be more then enough id think.

I've had my Savage XS for a few months. Burnt up stock ESC (junk), and put in EZRUN SC8 ESC. The SC8 is hands down a great ESC, and has treated me well on 3S. Shock towers, rear skids, A-arms, and hubs all in aluminum. Adjustable upper arm mount was a huge plus, as well as adjustable tie rods.

Buddy and I ended up scoring an Losi Ten-T, HPI Firestorm, HPI RS4 Drift, and Associated GT2 for $250. All needed a little work; Firestorm is just for parts. Ten-T has the DX3S controller which is alright. ****ty part is it was leaking fuel, and found the carb is cracked. I'll upload photos sometime when I get a chance.

    And smile it's Blacktooth Grin!

Would something like this make a decent starter rc?
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Himoto-1-18-...25.m3641.l6368

    Or something like this? https://vortexhobbies.com/ecx-ruckus...MfcaAilF8P8HAQ

I think I am going to get the ECX Ruckus as that seems to fit in with kinda what I am looking for.

looks to cheap, also ships from china. so who knows how long before you get it.

my controller was a cheaper one @ like 75 bucks a bunch of years ago. cant see that being hi quality when its a car radio ready to run combo.

dont know that brand rc co either. they could be good, or not so good. id try to find some reviews on the car its self.

If you can't get parts for one locally I wouldn't get it. A lot of those Chinese clones don't match up and as hard as I've driven my Rustler and cartwheeled it at over 60 you break a lot of parts. I hit the inside of storm drain doing about 45 and had to replace the upper and lower chassis, front bulkhead A-arm, servo case and a few misc pieces for $35. If the thing will do 30 mph then eventually break some small part so being able to get spares is important.

curbs are not your friend. nothing like watching your nitro car run out of range @ wot down the road then crash and flip 20 times or more, then end up upsidedown still at full song then it just revs out and dies. if your lucky the piston is still good lol

Right! When I got rid of my cars and couldn't go 1/4 mile racing anymore I found out that there was a group of guys that did RC 1/4 mile racing 1/10th scale and really got back into it. It was run what ya brung type, but when I broke something it was easy to just drop it in the trunk and keep watching. I still have my RC-10 from 87' and when I switched from the old mechanical to an electronic speed control back then I was in a chrurch parking lot well once the battery dropped too low the Fets would stick on and you would loose steering I tried to chase it down but it went full blast straight into a curb. After that I kinda lost intrest, that was still back in the day of Nicads. I haven't messed with any of mine in a while but I have an RC-10L with carbon fiber chassis and used an 8 turn motor and 2S Lipo for drag racing. I used the rustler for a while but then got into top speed runs I was able to get it to 89mph with 2-2cell Lipos a Mamba Monster and a 7700Kv motor. I also have a Hot Bodies Lightning 10 buggy that I was converting to Brushless since they are sooo much faster than Nitro and a lot less mess. I use Airtronics radios I ended up going 2.4 since they have better range and don't have to worry about interference. I also bought one of the little micro Losi stadium trucks and with the Lipo it's pretty freaking fast. It was a lot of fun on trips and easy to pack.

edit: forgot about the Eagle Tree data logger (150 amp) it is pretty cool I can measure up to 50V and 150 amps plus inputs for 3 temp sensors, rpm, and all kinds of stuff it records a lot and uploads to a laptop. I've measured peak currents of 178 amps on my rustler. It's hard to keep it down it wheelies with no issues even at speed.
