some guy is selling a supercharger series 3 engine with 65k for 350 dollars. im going to ask him how much he wants for the genv and tb together. what would be a good price to get it for? what would be a steal, and what would be overpaying?

    Thank you in advance

Well you don't need the TB as you can't use a DBW throttle body on your cable throttle bodied car.

i dont have the money or space right now, and there is a ported LIM for a gen 3 on craigslist for 50, i can prob pick up for 30ish and i could probably get an adapter plate and a genv some time, but if i can pick one up with 65k would be awesome. but do i need a special tb for genv?

does he have proof its only 65k seems weird he would be sellin it so cheap if that was the truth.. and you can use your stock tb as long as you have that adapter plate. what all do you even have done to your car? if your not pretty heavily modded throwing a gen v on there isnt gonna help you

How far into IL are you? I'd take the rest of the motor off your hands

Throw him an offer of $220 for the blower, LIM and whatever else is attached to the SC. See if he'll bite.

Other then that $350 for the whole thing is a steal. Hell it might even be worth it to buy an engine stand and a cheap storage unit to store the whole engine and take it apart to sell it all off if you play your cards right. It sounds like a lot of work, but parting out a gen 3 can yield a high return.
