If your not used to working with turbos and the dsm world dont start modding one you plan to DD.
You can find a ta for about 5-8 easy wont be immaculate but parts are very easy to source.
Do not get a GTO unless you just like driving in a straight line, they weigh a lot more and dont turn worth crap until you do extensive suspension mods to, which also will cost more then for an fbody.
Trans Am or Gtfo.
The GTO only weighs about 300lbs more than an f-body and has irs which makes it handle way better than an f-body stock for stock. If you want to go fast in a straight line I'd say camaro/firebird since they are just that little bit lighter and have the solid rear axle to start. F-body will be cheaper to mod overall as well.
Well IMHO i have driven both a camaro and gto around a road course and then at autoxing events, I have to say the camaro was less tail happy and I felt less body roll. But to each his own.................
Buy a 1000cc sport bike. Absolutely no questions asked the fastest for your money. 4 grand and you have the fastest 0-60, 60-120 and top speed. I love my supercharged Fiero swap, it is fast, Also love my DD Buick Regal top swap with VS cam, but when I feel like flying I get out my Yamaha FZ1. Nothing will get you blood pumping like 150hp+ on a 500 pound motorcycle. Trust me.
