I paid more in an effort to get a reliable vehicle for the winter. I did not want to mess around with replacing expensive parts such as an engine or transmission or have it break down in the middle of road as you normally would with buying a used vehicle for ~$1000. Yes I consider these cars beaters; while others consider camaros, c5 and c6 corvettes beaters. It just irritates me when people shop around for a car and expect top of the line options, low miles, super clean with no rust/dents/scratches, but refuse to pay the price for it. When they finally find someone who doesn't have the time to put up with their bs and just gives in, they go around and brag about the steal they just got on the car, wait a year and sell it for twice the value they "stole" it for. All so they can blow the money on strippers, speeding tickets and beer. Makes sense if you don't think about it.

People just always have to find a way to make money on everything in one way or another. I guess I will never understand it. Corporate America at its finest.
And modding your dd isn't wasting it it like a "sucker" ?
