Soory to hear that Joe. Yea, you got lucky. When the lady backed out and hit mine, she didn't have insurance. Luckily mine sued the heck out of her and got the money. Get your bumper and tail lights off ebay, if you can't find any in a junk yard, Have it painted, put it all on yourself and have a shop do your quarter. You could still end up with a nice chunk in your pocket.
i no im excited and hoping to god i get a fat check haha i think i may no monday at 2.30 pm lol and yeah maybe just pick up a drivers side tail get the dent fixed and get the bumper painted on the drivers side "also had previous scraPES when i baught it in the same location so WOOOO lol maybe all that fixed then i have money left over that i can buy a few toys for her and have gas $ and pay some more on her to my parents haha maybe itll all work out for the best.. haha how much does it cost for a shop to repaint a damaged location such as drivers side bumper from top to bottom where the bumper meets the quauter panel til the bottom of in bumper "just on drivers side" any ideas? thanks
i was thinking insureance compaines think a dent is more money then a scrath n scrapes right haha just wondering.
they gave my guy 3200$ which was a new hood, bumper and headlight brackets, then labor for the body shop. plus the radiator all that happy horsechit. so i dunno go through insurance and all you will pay is the deductible.
I know when some donkey keyed my truck, I got like 900 bucks for a new paint job. Tail lights aren't to cheap, so thats a bonus. Having a dent pulled, body work and maybe some paint for the dent and bumper, should be pretty good money.
so my think is to stick it in there ass and dont take no for an awnser haha can i get money from her insureance company for agravasion and driving out of my way for all this crap?? I have very little money i wont have to pay crap right?
you will have to pay the ins. deductable. 300-500 bucks. and i dought you can get money for agrivation and driving out of your way. you might but i highly dought it
It is not his insurance company that is paying. The lady who hit him, her insurance company is paying. So he won't have to pay the deductible. It wasn't his fault. He should just get his car fixed or a check.
He had mentioned that he owed money to his parents. So I imagine that it is a loan from the M&D Bank (Mom and Dad Bank).I hate to rain on your parade Joe, but if your car is still on a loan with a fiance company, a lot insurance companies now a days will write the check in the autobody's name and not yours.
I still believe the same would hold true. It depends on what Insurance company she has whether or not they will cut him a check or cut the auto body place the check. Back in the day most insurance companies would just cut the owner a check and then it was upto the owner to go out and find the best prices to save a buck or two in their pocket. A lot insurance companies have gotten stung by bogus claims and people just walking off with cash in their hands, never getting any repair work done.
I know All State Insurance back when I was living in Charlotte in 2002 use to cut checks straight to the owner of the vehicle regardless of having a loan/lean on the vehicle you owned. I was just trying to make him aware of that and not to expect a big windfall check at his doorstep.
Although if he does, congrats to him then.
I agree with you 100% on this. But you mentioned him having a loan through a financial institute, which I don't *think* is the case. Just mentioning it.
I already stated all the above back in one of my first posts. My wife was cut checks for damage to her car. But others get the check right to the shop. All depends on the insurance company and how they handle it.
I hate to rain on your parade Joe, but if your car is still on a loan with a fiance company, a lot insurance companies now a days will write the check in the autobody's name and not yours. I had that happen with American Family when my car was broken into and they wrote the check to them. I tried to get the auto body place to cut me some money back, but they looked at me awfully weird.
They knew what I was trying to do, which in most cases is illegally unforuately, but it is done to protect the insurance company as well their insured driver. They dont want you running around in a banged up car that could be potentially unsafe.
But keep in mind NOT ALL insurance companies follow this practice, but more and more are starting to do so. Only time will tell once you get to meet up with the old lady's insurance company.
But dont start spending what you dont have is a good word of advice![]()
yea guys it is this dumb old bats fault and its not really a loan the car is paided for but im paying my parents back lmao =]
Umm....pictures?
I was still paying on my car when I just bought it and only had it 11 months before that drunk dub **** rear ended me totaling my car.
They were going to repair it, wrote me a check for a bumper cover and support totaling like $300.00 then we removed the rear bumper cover and saw how far he got into my car, trailing arm that was bent in a "U" was not a good sign, they checked it back out, and saw that yup, that was bad, and totaled it. I bought it back, paid off my loan, and still was able to fix my car much cheaper than they said I could.
If that helps you or not.
Also, you can also figure into the cost of repairing your car your deductible.
People, you all need to know that if its not your fault, you should NEVER-EVER have any out of pocket expense EVER!
If they (the insurance company) wants to yank you around...screw that game, and just hire a lawyer now. Just tell him you want your car fixed, and you (the lawyer) paid for your your costs. Anything left over, you can have as a way of saying thank you. That really makes them work harder for you and you get your car back...sometimes even better than you wanted.
~F~
no i dont wanna hire a layer or anything technical or court like that no body got a ticket or anything its just i have very little money and this $(*#% is paying for my damages its not even that bad of damage but still she WILL fix it lol
