Buy junkyard parts, possibly the same color if you get lucky or paint it if need be. you can also take your car to a college and let the auto body kids paint it for the cheapness. dont go to a body shop, they charge a billion dollars for everything.

Sure doing it yourself, like hanging a bumper or a fender isn't half assing it, it is if the damn radiator support is twisted up or the bumper support or whatever is messed up, then thats half assing it. Hiding the problem with a fender and paint is halfassing it period. I've seen may people do this, and I find it hilarious honestly.

He said his rear quarter is damaged, it probably needs to be straightened and pending how bad it was damaged, it might of been twisted elsewhere, remember its a unibody car, its not hard to make it untrue. Of course it may need a whole new quarter panel welded on. And besides, no offense to GTPJOE, but I doubt he can weld a damn quarter panel on, I know I can't and I ain't going to even attempt it myself.

If I was cut a check from the insurance co, I would get a clean junk yard decklid and taillight sure, the quarter panel work I'd have the most reputable shop in town do all the work, plus paint the car inlcuding the decklids unside to make everything nice and matching. A ****ty body shops work will show and never go away. Have it done right once or don't do it at all period. On the otherhand, if insurance was just going to pay for the bill, i'd have the most reputable shop in town do all the work and stick it in there ass.
