Why the 2.0L? I'm new to the whole saab world, is it because the aftermarket is better for 2.0 vs the 2.3?

Thats going to be a large turbo, HX40s are more common on the 6 cylinder cars.

2.3 can not handle such high engine speeds as 2.0 and it is because you get a sharper angle of the connecting rod in a 2.3

I would stick a little smaller, like the HX35, its more adequate for a 4 cylinder motor. Your turbo lag with the HX40 coming out of a corner on the track will just be torturous if you don't find the right gear and sometimes searching for the right gear, is not what you want to be doing. HX35 should be enough to boost you out of a corner nicely

nevermind then keep doing your thing

I use to race a Maxima in competition about 4 years ago and I always had a problem with being in 3rd when I needed 2nd to get me out, but changing a gear wasn't an option.
