copper retains less heat than nickle plated, platnum ect. Thats what you want. May not last as long but is good at fighting kr. He said the copper is bad? as in the plug is bad? or did he say it was bad to have copper plugs in your car?

He also said my tranny fluid was black!! So right now i am doing research, i heard tranny flushes are bad soo i might just drop the tranny pan myself and just change the fluid and filter, i got 2 gallons of dextron 6 in my room soo all i need is a new filter and ill change tht asap.

copper plugs are not bad, you just have to change them more often.

if your tranny is shifting fine and acting normal then leave the fluid alone.

Whoever installed your headers is obviously an idiot and probably does'nt need to be doing mechanic work. For any kind of performance application your not going to see someone that knows what they're doing running anything but a copper core plug.

Just becuase a plug is platinum, has four electrodes, costs a fortune, and looks pretty does'nt mean it's a better plug for the application.

As for the tranny, don't get it flushed. Drop the pan, replace the filter and put new fluid in it.

Or if it's really bad change the filter and put cheap fluid in it. Drive it a few days then do it again but put your quality fluid in this time. Also take the time and remember to clean your tranny pan while you have it off as well.

No the tranny isnt acting fine, i dont blame it, 3.4 pulley with supporting mods and it has almost 157k on it. What the tranny is doing right now, is when im cruising any speed (not stomping on it) the rpm's go back and fourth not by alot but you can also feel the car like rocking back in fourth, soo something is up with the tranny. Also whats annoying is it upshifts all the time when im going up a hill going 50 lets say it loves to just drop down to low rpms and bogs down unless i step on it. Well the tranny fluid is really black.

The tcc lockup is going out....possibly a leaking valve body or worn input seal. Mine lasted a cupple days after it started doing that...you dont have long before you need a new one. Fluid was black on mine too now that you mention it. and thats after i changed the fluid when i first bought the car about 10000 miles before it failed....sorry to say it but ur gunna be left on the side of the road soon with all gears but park lost...or in the middle of the road like me....came to a stop light it turned green...all gears gone except park lol

fwiw, The 104's are fine and good to a max of 10k miles. Only the core is copper. That means in the middle of the center electrode there is copper burried in there.

A solid Silver center electrode non resistor plug is the best racing plug. See Brisk and Nology. However the AL 104 is a cheap plug and works fine. I'm running iridiums this month and have run god knows how many other plugs, and none were any different as far as KR goes.

Thats how mine started...ever so lightly when i first bought the car....then it began shaking when tcc would apply 10000 miles later and ...yea...i added some mods that didnt help too...

Sounds alot like when my civic's tranny died, altho it would go forward once I revved it to 6000 rpm's, and mine went out during mid throttle on the interstate @80mph...damn auto tranny's lol
