Hey all,
I've been a proud owner of a 2006 GP for just over a week. I got it from a local dealer for a pretty good price. It was a fleet vehicle and it's got 70k on it, but has thorough maintenance records. The dealer offers (at his cost) a 3 year 36k bumper to bumper warranty - it's through a third party, and they're backed by an A rated insurer (I did my homework on that end). Alternatively, my bank offers a similar warranty, though for a bit more, considering they want their slice of the pie.
Anyway, the warranty would cost me about 1100 plus tax. I'm leaning in the direction of purchasing it, simply because my car's the nicest thing I own, and I'd like it to keep up with me for at least a few years.
Does anyone have any insight on these extended 3rd party warranties? The ones I'm looking at are both "exclusionary" meaning they cover everything aside from maintenance stuff. I can post details about this if there's any curiosity.
Any thoughts would be super.
Thanks![]()
