its fun for the first 5 years, but never any fun after say 20 hours of driving. then after 10 years of plowing, its just work you need to do.

stuff breaks, your hair falls out, theres never a parts store open at 3 am either lol

its fun to do, if your not a dope. ( not that you are but what ive seen being called plowing) if you own your own truck and plow and sub work, you can make up to 100 a hour or more. or get your own accounts and make all the money, but take all the risk.

i bet i cleared a 100,000 grand plowing over the last 20 years. there were a few 40,000 seasons, lots of snow, and blizzards those years.

lets put it this way, my 80 power wagon, bought my 97 gmc, the 97 paid for the 03 gmc. the gmc's i bought brand new.

    does that help ya? lol

you had best have a good friend who gonna let ya plow for fun? cause no one is lending out their money maker for fun.

what sucks is it really turns into blood money. im out 3 years now, i missed it for the first season, not so much any more. only thing i do miss is the extra money.

and owning a 4x4 truck that could litterally plow though walls of snow. the regal dont cut it as a winter car. not after driving 4x4's for the last 20 years.

So weird how you guys REALLY get into this whole deal. But then again this is all new to me. Really wish our town had a plow again. Somethin about they didn't hire a guy to replace the one who quit in november. I couldn't go to work this morning. No way that gp woulda trudged through all that snow with crap tires

how small is your town? around here every town has a dpw and runs 5 or 6 plows, and have spare plows and trucks.

so hows that work? your stuck till the snow melts?

well it's a village. it's tiny. it's bfe. and there was only 1 plow apparently. now there's none. locals have been kinda doing it for free in the meantime.

and idk. this is more snow than i've ever seen here, or my life for that matter. i assume someone will come plow if not the next town over. i know yesterday some plow truck came out idk where from. but. thank god for them. but this morning it hadn't been touched.

Bunch of farmers here in Byron MI are plowing back roads because the road crews are too busy. Oh boy my car sounds so bad when its this cold out running 10 30. Sounds like rod knock/unhappy valvetrain. Might try synthetic oil soon.

Let mine warm up to about the 1/4 mark before I drive it. Gotta like the heated seat.
