Day 2 of waking up early and completing 5k training.....check! I'm feeling pretty good about this.
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
Awesome. Is it just a 5k run?
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
Yeah, a couple friends and I are doing the 5k color run in July. I'm pretty excited!
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
This is what we do for excitement at work.

Awesome! 5Ks are awesome...I've never done a color run, but I know people who have and said they were a blast. If you get a chance, do a Warrior Dash sometime...that was SUCH a blast...
oh - are you doing c25k?
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
Yeah, I'm doing the c25k. It's really been pretty easy and gentle. Especially since I haven't ran any distance for a long time.
I need to get new shoes tho and probably some shin compression sleeves, holy shin splints.
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
where do you work again d?
ps... looks like someone back in again today... :th_thumbsup-wink:

Shin splints suck, but they go away eventually. Glad you like the C25K think. I know MANY that have used that and loved it.

It is a neat pattern when you do this, I have done this fixing a couple computers for negligent people. The thing about this is, that is a liquid cooling radiator for a gaming machine. Corsair cooler in fact, probably a $100 cooler that wasn't watched, likely lead to the CPU overheating and they will be lucky if it didn't get fried. Inside the case in the background is a ASUS Sabertooth board, the only board to get its own cool cover like that, still a $240.00+ board. Some people don't deserve nice things, the internals of my gaming rig are cleaned every 3-4 months, its show quality 90% of the time, some dust but it DOES run 90% of the time.

Ran the Warrior Dash a couple years ago in Tulsa, OK. It was hard but so much fun, GF wants to to the color run this year but I think I got her convinced to run the Zombie 5k instead. Always a blast but some training is required to make the 5k without dying lol. I was sore for a week after the Warrior Dash because I didn't think to pick up on running before hand to prep, just went out and did it.... bad idea.

Warrior Dash was definitely one of the most fun races I've ever done. My brother did the Tough Mudder a couple of weeks back, and still has the bruises to prove it...lol. He said it was fun, but definitely needs to do more upper body strength workouts...long race, tons of obstacles, and not easy by any stretch.

I switch between 2 pairs for running...I have a distance pair, and a pair for shorter workouts and speed work. I use Asics Nimbus series for the long runs, and Mizuno Wave Riders for shorter runs and speed work.
Yes - I know it was a joke...I just like to talk about my shoes...lol
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
I think if all works out I'm gonna be heading down to the Detroit meet :) won't be brining my car tho ill be hitching a ride in another GP.
Re: POST WHORINGZ THREADZ!11!!1!one
I know I have too many shoes but I need a really good pair for running. I may try and go to a running shop in Fort Wayne and get my stride analysis done and fitted for shoes.
