man I've barely done anything today at work.. definitely a Monday..
thats almost the age gap between the gf and I...
she talks about how her dad was 22 when her mom got pregnant...
ughhhhhhh i'm happily 21 now..
i cant even imagine.
no.
thanks.
Different time back them.. a lot different.
I was doing the math based on you being 21 Brando...
And then I got a chill based on the fact that your Dad is my age.
Lmao my dad just turned 43 in September. I turn 23 in may :D
I'm in the process of completely overhauling my resume for earlier said position, ohmygawd.
I talked to the guy who is forwarding my resume on to the correct people...he really wants to get me in with the company. As we were going thru stuff to add to my resume, I'm not totally qualified as far as computer programs and experience go. But I am more than willing to learn. He told me I can't go into an interview without confidence or they will rip me to shreds....then he proceeded to tell me that he will probably be sitting in on the interview. As if I'm not nervous enough already? lol
So here goes stepping out of my shell and bettering myself and my future.
It's all or nothing from now on I guess.
If this goes thru....GP will have to go buhbye
D...I work in accounting for a large company and have talked to and interviewed people in the past. Most accounting people tell you they know Excel and microsoft stuff. .... Reality is ..they know how to click on the shortcut and that's all
Admin popped by and told me I hadn't entered time in teh system for the last 2-3 months. Then as I'm about to do it, she says she can. Comes back over and asks about a day in Oct, seems like maybe I put one day down and not the other or mixed them. Just put them both in as PTO, I have plenty of spare time to cover it all.
I hope I got this, but I'm still nervous as hell!
I'm feeling fairly confident in my abilities currently, so I hope it works out.
Back to resume...I told him I'd have it back to him by 3 :th_nervous:
Fake it 'till you make it.
D, relax. You got this. Consider for 90% of most appications you can youtube how to's on Excel and most of the programs you will use in office and get the basics in less than an hour. If you are using Microsoft Office programs the biggest thing is which version 03, 07, 10, 12 all have different buttons and layouts. Same fundamentals but I can't use 07 Word to save my life, but I can make a power-point in 03 like a Pro.
As said, biggest thing is confidence on what you do know, and a willingness to learn what you don't. If they offer training it means they understand you may not know everything, but you need to be able to learn and prove your worth.
Just got word that my resume was sent to the corporate office, fingers crossed.
sitting in Trigger ... got 10 min to blow to find out if Security is going to play nice.
Danielle, best of luck hon! You have the guts and I admire you. :) Go do it!
However...why does big girl job require gettin rid of car? Keep car buy new car?
Thanks Brandon! I just realized that I never sent you the maf picture....i will tomorrow if I remember.
And big girl job means a truck for said profession. Lee would likely make me sell car to put towards new truck and other bills.
I tried telling him to keep the prix and sell the G6 (he's always had a soft spot for the 97-03 prix anyways), but he didnt buy it in that it's getting old and currently needs struts. In theory, the prix wouldn't be needed. I have it and Lee has his truck, jeep and the g. So if I get a company vehicle, my car would be low man on the totem pole.
ah it's alright. I was gonna say for the two that asked...I'm gonna try to make it to the yard tomorrow. D you can just text the pic.
And what do you mean he would MAKE you sell it? Isn't it yours? Unless it was YOUR bills that you were applying it to. I'm not trying to pry I just..don't want you being run over dear :)
Well, he kinda helped me finish paying it off so I could focus my little paychecks elsewhere. So he technically owns part of it.
But I think I would get all the funds if I sold it, I would put them towards school and other debts to pay them off.
And if you don't get a picture from me before you go to the yard or whatever, text me and remind me. I will try to get one before I go to work in the am.
