I can't even to imagine how it feels to sleep past 8 hours
Meh, I don't like cats.
I could not sleep 18 hours, but 12 hours is do-able.. it does feel quite refreshing but I do not know this high you speak of.
Cats can be as good of a pet as a dog, just lower maintenance.
Serious. But like dogs, it takes some work to train them to act the way you'd like them to.
My last 5 cats all knew that when I whistled they were expected to find me. Didn't matter if they were a mile away killing something. They came running. They never expected a treat for coming. They new counters and tables are not an allowable place to be. Nighttime is for me to sleep, therefore as the nocturnal cat quiet is expected. yeah..it's like that.
my cats know the rules.. for the most part LOL
dislikes cats
A stern "NO" and pushing them off and or tapping on the surface while saying "no".
to train my cats years ago, if they jumped up on a table or counter, we'd press on a paw till they cried a bit and gave them a no.
i could leave a whole pound of ham on the counter, open and un wrapped mind you, and it was safe. they never went up there, ever!
cat can be cool too. either way your picking up sh1t...:th_shakinghead1:
Scott...last cat, I never changed the box. He had one, but he wanted to be outside for at least 6-8 hours a day. Weather didn't matter, he's go out in torrential downpour, freezing slush, snow you name it. He was like the dog that you have to dry off when he comes in. Bath is never a problem for me with cats. Simply give them one.
we have 2 dogs. I love the one. the other i could do without. It is a rescue dog with lots of problems, but my wife and son love him so he stays no matter how much it dumps in the house.
Cats are just easier we have 3 big dogs that stay in the house and the place is always a mess hair and dog toys everywhere everyday its a 30min job just picking up after them
our one cat responds to "no" the other i use a nerf gun, just the noise of picking it up is a deterant, only shot the cat once, anytime its shot its over them etc
i had 4 cats when i was a kid. all at the same time. 3 were indoor cats, then we found a all black cat down the shore while on vacation.
it had been mooching food for the whole 2 weeks we were there, at a renal house on the beach, it was labor day and everyone had left. so we took it home with us.
this cat looked at the litter box like, you want me to do what in there? think about it, we just took the cat from the world largest litter box, the beach.
so we had to let her out. this cat was the same way as bills cat, rain snow it didnt care at all. soon after we got that cat, we decided to let one of the smarter cats go outside too. that cat was made to be outdoors, it was always in a tree.
in random news.. Scott.. Need 7 more to get to 300 LOL
All you have to do to teach a cat to stay off the table is flick them in the nose with your finger do that once or twice and they figure it out
Cats are pretty easily trained, most people don't care. Same goes for dogs, really.
