Fine... Yuck, but fine... Alternate time lines and all that...

The 90 Fiero was delayed to a 91 release due to a redesign of the cooling system so the increased capacity could cool the first gen 3800sc motor that powered the GT... An AWD version was released in 96, but the model died in 98 due to a safety regulation jammed down our throats by a senator in an attempt to distract the public from the ongoing investigation linking them to murdering their spouse...

The Grand Prix, redesigned in 97, was released in 3 trim levels... The base powered by the L36, a GT powered by the L67, but the big news was the turbo GTE... The 280hp/300tq turbo, like all other models could be had with either a 6 speed manual, or a 4+3 automatic using a next gen design from the gear reduction package on the 700r4...

The initial plan to base the next gen Grand Prix on a platform shared with the Buick Wildcat was scrapped in favor of the front wheel configuration to ensure the all wheel drive Grand Prix GTX would be cost effective...

The Buick Wildcat, released in 97, was based on a shortened B body platform... Power came from the venerable 4.3 turbo or a destroked 5 liter version of the generals new LS1... For 2000, the six was retired and a low pressure turbo was available for the v8... This gave the always fun but undeniably hefty Wildcat the boost in power it needed to go from family sleeper back to the drag strip... A rumored 2 door version never saw the light of day...

Ford was forced to kill the mustang in 96 due to continued mechanical faults and inferior performance driving buyers away from the brand... The apology, and an attempt to salvage fords heritage, came in the 97 Thunderbird... The 4.6 was reworked to produce 230hp/320tq, an important output boost for blue oval fans... Bigger news was the 260hp/330tq 5.4 offered in the LX... Either base or LX could be had with the sport pack which provided 17 inch alloys, and a breaking and suspension package... A 5 speed manual, or 4 speed auto was offered...
