I'm running a 120GB OCZ Vertex 2 SSD and 2 Caviar Black 1TB drives for storage in my desktop. Love it.
If I were to buy a laptop, I would get another Vertex 2 for sure and use an external drive for storage.
The space on the SSD runs out quick. It formats to 100GB then allow about 15-20GB for Windows 7. As long as I don't keep any music or videos on it, I've had no trouble with space so far. In the near future, I may have to uninstall a couple games to make room for Crysis 2 and Portal 2.

I'm still in heaven with my desktop, I7 920 @ 4.0 air cooled with a lot of room to spare, 6gb ddr3, ATI 4870x2, corsair 850W PSU, 320GB VelociRaptor and a 640GB WD green for storage.
I dont use it any more, i quit gaming, but it makes a nice room heater and laptop cooling station.

Yeah im not happy with it, we have returned it once and this second one shuts the computer down every 2 days or so.

ASRock was the only P4 board i could find at the time... Still runs though.

I've never heard anything but bad stuff about ASRock. ASUS ftmfw.
