Muscle milk is good! Your High!
193 this a.m. and I hadn't stepped on a scale in over three weeks, so that was comforting. Wasn't as bad as I thought, but still nothing to be too thrilled about.
Made Spaghetti last night with Shirataki noodles, they're made from Yam Flour smell horrible when you open the package, but once they're heated up they have absolutely NO flavor. The original 40g Carbs per serving of pasta is now cut to a mere 6g carb and I got to enjoy "pasta."
Anyone whose a pasta fiend would probably enjoy this. The texture is a bit jelly-ish when you eat it alone, but lose it when you add spaghetti sauce and what not.
Yam flour, huh? I might have to recommend this to my paleo friends. They're (and me, when I eat over) stuck eating spaghetti squash, which is just a very different spaghetti experience.
Edit: Just looked this stuff up. It's not made from yams (tubers), but from something that maybe resembled a yam enough to name it after one. It's got no calories, but is high in soluable fiber - the stuff with more carbs is made with tofu, which is evil [read: soy].

I'm not remotely tiny. When 3,200 is maintenance, you know you're kicking some ass. I actualy don't know how many calories I eat anymore. I don't eat the same stuff every day anymore.
Edit: Started entering stuff in myfitnesspal. Already, I've gone over 1,000 calories for breakfast. So maybe I eat even more than I thought.

That's a nifty find... As I mentioned prior, beware the smell if you ever buy it. It's sold in a bag full of liquid in the foreign food isles. I'm not a fan of fishy smelling stuff and both my parents thought I was cooking seafood. But like I said, it has absolutely NO taste to it and a bazaar texture (to me).
It's no wonder it was so filling, a brief look on soluble fiber explains the texture of the "noodles" and how darn full I was with just a serving size of the "pasta" and spaghetti sauce.
Dietary Fiber: Insoluble and Soluble Fiber
I could get used to eating this "pasta" because once you eat it with something you pay no mind to texture or the lack of flavor. I don't recommend noodles and butter kind of thing, but it's pretty good with spaghetti sauce. Eager to make it with chicken Alfredo![]()
I've been eager to find this before. It's a good filler for weight loss cooking or guilt free eating.
Hey guys, I never thought of asking this in here. I'm looking for nutritious ways to gain any type of weight. Can anyone recommend the best protein powder or something for such?
You're not lifting, but you want to gain weight? Is it a medical issue? Girlfriend really into chubby guys? Hard to offer specific advice without specifics. I've learned so much about nutrition and exercise since this thread was started... I think a lot of us have. Why not stick around?
Edit: I checked facebook, since I don't keep a photo log of myself. I was amused by what I found. Here's a photo from when the thread started and one from three weeks ago. I believe I weigh 20lbs more in the more recent photo.

I'm photo logging. But i haven't shot a pic in awhile. I want to get upto 55lbs lost before i shoot another one. I'm 2 lbs away from that. 215now... Goal 195. Then then the next goal will probably be 185 or 175. Idk i might just work on toning up and strength.
taking photos is a good way to track progress. i haven't noticed a difference looking in the mirror in the past couple months, but from photos i can see a significant difference
