I ate there 2 nights ago. Had an 18oz tbone and steak fries. Those rolls with the cinnamon butter are legit.

Love dem rolls and cinnamon butter. Weighed in at 264.4 today. Still a loss but I am struggling with my discipline. Im Not reaching my goals at this rate.
Ya same here. I had to work out today just so i could eat supper and be under my goal.
Slowing down my drinking this week and starting into the gym. Did some pushups and exercise ball crunches last night.
Dragging my ass out to the gym soon. Chest/tris/abs.
Im so beat, don't want to go. It's times like these I'm glad to have a work out partner. He's been talking about it all day, I couldn't cancel on him after that. It's too bad he holds me back more than He pushes me forward.
I really don't think I've got the patience for a lifting partner anymore... or rather, it would be easier to have one if the gym had more equipment. It's one thing to share a bar doing like bear complexes or something else that's necessarily light, but it's entirely another to try to share a bar for single rep deadlifts or something else where you'd need to change the weight a lot (unless, magically, he deadlifted exactly as much as me, which is imposible to find).
I Inline Skated yesterday and today. Today i got wore out pretty fast. I might run again later this week. Running damn near kills my back though. I sure sweat a ton more !
i weighed in at the gym yesterday at 229.8, still under 230! hopefully i can still to some loose routine to keep lifting. my joints aren't used to it anymore and i think i pushed too hard yesterday.
I need to get back on track with this. Got separated from my SO for about a month and stopped eating out, watched my carb intake, lost 10lbs. in 4 weeks. Gained back about 8 since we've been back together. Ugh!
We share portions and what not and even eat better, but I guess not good enough. I'm not a gym person, I hate working out in front of people. I'm one that would probably go at 2 a.m. just to avoid human contact. I'm self conscious and it isn't arrogance, but I feel like I'm being stared/laughed at when I'm beet red in the face and appear to be struggling. I have a horrible game face:P. Without fail after my horseback-riding lessons my face is incredibly red it looks like someone cut off my o2 for awhile. It sucks.
Back to carb counting and some more activity :/ I'll be good and happy when I get back down to 150/160lbs.
everyone else in the gym looks like that, too.
people that make fun of people in the gym are douches. you're obviously there doing something.
and realistically...carb diets aren't the best. i would think about looking at overall calorie counts versus cutting out carbs.
uhm you guys wanna hear my calorie intake for 2 days? little over 60 measured on my fitness pal. I work at planet fitness and never work out but all the emplyees got me to start that **** to see what i take in cause i eat about every two days on a coffee diet. i only weigh in at 179.3 as of last night, stays constant
That's a good point on the gym bit...
Well, I found calorie counting successful with the right foods(naturally), but one still has to pay attention as carbs are a significant factor in weight loss and gain too. I could be eating my daily intake of calories to lose weight in pasta's, bread, etc. and not lose a pound. Even if I was within my calorie range I was over indulging in carbs. When I counted calories I didn't get very far, even with exercise routinely at high frequencies. I started watching my carb intake and lost two pounds per week and it stayed off for longer than weight I've lost prior. Realistically it is difficult to find the time to go to the gym, but I'm not going to rattle off excuses as I'm only hurting myself![]()
The heaviest I've been was 205 and that's when I put my foot down, I couldn't believe I'd encroached 200lbs at 5'6" when I was 140lbs at one point. Granted I look like skin and bone, but my attitude was so different than it was now. I used to use a stationary bike for 60 minutes a day, I have no idea how my butt endured sitting in that gawd awful chair at this point, but it obviously worked (as well as puberty and growth spurts in that factor)
Part of the reason I took up the lower carb life-style change (versus diet lol!) is due to family genetics in the diabetic factor. Trust me, I'm not blaming genetics, but I have no desire to tempt fate if it runs in the family. I think the only remotely "small" people in my family on both sides would be my brother and his brother o_O.
Fun Fun :/
when i was losing a lot i found i lost the most when i had more meats than carbs, you're right.
i have a little diabetic action running in my bloodline too. based on my diet i could be the next in line to be diagnosed, but so far im pretty clear of it.
It isn't as realistic as calorie counting, I will definitely agree that realistically counting calories is best. Especially if you travel, but if you can control the foods you consume then I found carbs to be more effective, at least in the quicker sense for those who need a good boost to start![]()
I had bloodwork done over a year ago and will be doing it again soon to make sure that I'm not in danger at the moment. I don't need a kick in the pants to motivate good eating, just need some repetition. Read somewhere it takes 3 times to create a habit and 30 to create a lifestyle change basically. When thought of it like that 30 days of changed eating habits really isn't all that bad.
Coming from the guy that ate 1200-1600 calories a day for like six months... calorie counting only got me so far. I eat a lot more now and haven't gained any weight. High protein, high fat, low carb... It lets me work out harder and drag less ass, which has changed the way I look. Only problem is that I'm still too heavy to do pullups all day long (until I get stronger, of course).
I've been on this diet since last Aug. Lost 51ish lbs. I keep plateauing. A good weekend or week of eating terrible and i i'll gain a good 5lbs. I'm down to 215.4 as of today. But i've ate right for the past 2 weeks. I snacked a lil bit before bed today but nothing more than 220cals. I was just super hungry this morn when i got home. I eat alot of fish and chicken. Heck I even eat bologna sandwiches. I don't know why but they hit the spot when cold from sitting in my lunch box. I discovered a new filling shake.
Take one 11oz muscle milk, 1 banana, and a cup and half of ice cubes. Blend and Enjoy! It's awesome after a workout!
