You're supposed to stack your meals with a bias towards the start of your day.
not the end.
agreed, but i do the opposite. it's habit now.
Most people dont have time to do that lol
I've been scooting around this site all day at work. Just checked out an article on the whole protein thing that raises some excellent points. It's not sourced, but the authors seem decently reliable.
High Protein Diets: Good or Bad?
No time for a big dinner? Or no time to eat a breakfast bar?
I know it's pretty counter intuitive towards losing weight but just for the fun of it I decided to see what I could throw up on the leg press today. Ended up stopping at 625lbs with 12 full reps. Pretty sure I could have gone at least another 200lbs but I didn't want to over do myself. I actually threw them up pretty easy.
Good thread, I'll join...

I've been going to the gym 5 days a week now for two weeks and I've already started to go up in weight in all the exercises that I do. But I have stayed at the same weight. Also I eat a lot, like a big breakfast, lunch at work (I work at KFC so I have like a leg and two thighs for lunch) big dinner and I'll eat what ever I can find before going to bed. I just seem to never put on weight.
its not that i dont eat breakfast to stay non-fat or anything, i just always wake up to late. and im doing the p90x ab ripper monday wed and friday now with weighted exercises at the gym on tuesday and thurs and weekends off, and then misc. weight training mon-fri doing really whatever muscle i feel like, i always do biceps, usually only one day heavy tho the rest are just a little stretch and to get myself going a bit and almost always do lat pull downs (same deal as the biceps) i think one thing that hurts me is a dont have a set workout with anything i always do w.e i feel like that day and just try to get every muscle group in at least once per week
Am I on the right site?
The thread title is misleading... I thought you guys were talking about shedding pounds on our cars or some people were adding power adders making them heavier...
I'll keep drinking.
When I was a sophomore I was 6'6" 174. I was an absolute twig. Considering my freshman year I was 6'5" 220 ish and a blob. From 174 I worked my way up to around 190 decently lean. I was always the fat kid in school, but being that small was weird. 190 was a spot I liked and could still dunk like a mofo. Now being a sophomore in college I need to get back to a weight I like so I'll play.

Weight: 215

Goal: 210 with muscle to back it up. It's not like I'm fat now but I would like to lean out while gaining decent mass. I've always been off again on again with training for probably 5 years and just 2 months ago I was getting back into the swing of things and working out hard for a month or so. I found a stack I like to take and with those mere 5 weeks of training I went from around 210 to 200 while eating clean. The hardest part for me is to eat clean. My overall goal is to be able to dunk two handed again with authority at my next alumni tournament. Haven't been able to do that in a long time.
I weigh 140 at 5'4-5'5.. I definitely don't need to lose any weight, and really don't need to put any on, just kind of maintain where I am.
10 years ago when I joined the military, I weighed in at 129 (I'm 5'7.5") and graduated Basic Training at 134 with a waist size of about 27.5". I had usually gained a little weight each time I went to a new duty station, then plateau'd for 3-4 years. I was at 155 and about 32" Sep 2008, when I moved to Germany. When I moved to VA Sep of this year, I was at about 185 and a 36" waist. I am down to about 178 and a 34" waist after working out 5 times a week, mostly working on brisk walking, pushups and situps. I know its not a big change weightwise, but in those last few months, I built up a lot of upper-body muscle and slimmed down everywhere else. Since muscle weighs more than fat, I am slowly accepting that I might not get back down to my 160 lb "goal weight" (supposedly, I am considered "overweight" at about 170ish.) I will be happy when I get somewhere between 160 and 170 and a 32 inch waist again. SO...

Honestly been doing really good on the diet end of it. Haven't had pop in over three weeks now and haven't had fast food in even longer. Been drinking water like a fish.
And I'm to that point where I want to go into the gym cause I feel so much better when I get out. I'm taking Sundays off and I really feel guilty about not going in.
Even on my days where I eat normal I'm still making smart choices and not eating more than a serving of each portion.
Oh and before last week I was in a 44x30 jeans, and now I'm able to fit into 42's comfortably and closing in on 40's very quickly. Shirts are also fitting much loser now.
And to the mods. Would it be possible to sticky this for easy findings for a while?
I'm so ready for Christmas....(and alllll that damn food and snacks that come with it)
Was 218lbs around the beginning of November...weighed in at 202 lbs this after noon.
