first day of running again only ran 1.37miles which isn't very much buy I didn't want to over do it untill my body adjust to running again my goal is to get back up to 15miles a day at the end of feb got on the scale159lbs... I feel fat but yea hopefuly I can get down to 150 by march and then get back to the mid 140s
Hit the scale this morning as Bio and Rodney probably can see on myfitnesspal, rolled in at 196.6. Not as bad as I thought. Worked late last night and tonight I'll be aiming to be back to the gym.
Calories do count to a degree. If you combine reasonable calories with a workout where you burn a good amount, then overall you are losing weight. I was into a routine where I was burning around 1,000 calories at the gym nearly every day. Combined with eating more, I still could come in around 1500-2000 calories net per day.
last night i did close to 4.5 miles on the treadmill. i did walk a good portion of it, but i did the whole 30 minutes the machine counts down for you twice. felt good. MFP actually gave me back more calories than i had eaten earlier in the day, pretty crazy.
still decreasing.
down 7.5 pounds just cutting down my calorie intake and drinking a ton of water. Gonna start on the treadmill tomorrow. Dont know if I should do weights or not.
still slowly decreasing in weight. havent weighed myself in a while, but this week i think ill make some good headway since i wont be eating as much. im on a work trip so meals just arent going to happen as much as they normally do.

Im down to 303.4 this weekend. 25 pounds down in the first month. Cant wait to see that 299 number. Hoping I see that here this weekend. Will be nice!!
great thread... we have something like this on my other forum... so ill chare my success story...
to make a long story short.. ive lost over 230 lbs. in a little over 2 years, with more recently losing 125 lbs in the last 9 months..., ive battled weight all my life.. and at my heaviest, i topped out at over 530 lbs... and today.. i weight exactly 300 lbs... i weent from a 6X shirt all the way down to a 2X now... and a 64" waist, all the way down to a 48" waist now....
and ive done all by diet and exercising.. no cheating surgeries, no gimmick diett plans... no diet supplements... just old fashioned hard work and dedication... i limit my calorie intake to roughly 1400-1800 a day, and exercise for over an hour everyday by either walking (now jogging since im used to working out) at least a 5K a day and various calestenics and weight training... ive hit a little snag lately and have flat lined/plataued at 300, so im hitting the gyms now to shake up my routine..and get a little more aggressive with the workouts...

I figure I would throw myself in this thread. I started the elliptical about a week ago. Trying the low impact since I tore some muscle in my leg last year. I am going around 2 miles in 30 minutes at about 4mph and doing some leg extensions and leg curls at low weight to help the rebuilding process. I am also doing 100 push-up and 100 reverse dips a day. i need to start doing some stomach workouts too. I weighed in at 218 this morning. I am 6' btw.
So down almost 3 pounds in 3 days, just changing diet, eating healthy and staying right around 2000 calories/day. Would like to be able to fit into some of the clothes I got for christmas. Why did I ever let myself get like this.

Pretty sure I have the slowest metabolism ever. MFP says I now eat less than 1300 Calories a day, before exercise. Don't feel hungry. Definitely don't look like I'm starving. I'd feel more concerned if I was uncomfortable, I guess?
Wow...1300 calories a day?? One of the appetizers at outback steakhouse is 1500 calories by itself...yet I'm still 120lbs of stick
If I'm still hungry later, I'll probably steam up a head of broccoli, but that's about it.
where's your dinner?? only thing i see there is a hard boiled egg that might go in your salad (which comes BEFORE dinner)....so wheres dinner???
