I'm more interested in the cost of going 13's vs the cost of turbo. Maybe if some of the guys could add prices of their mods as well ?
1998 clear up your inbox so i can pm ya lol I'm curious about the price and quality of these turbo kits
I understand that 13's and 12's are acheivable with m90. But at what cost? This is what i am trying to see. Sorry for threadjack, if someone with this knowledge could PM me i would appreciate it. /threadjack
well cost and such on a turbo build im guessing around $5000 without trans to do it right
im probably in the 13's and have a total $5000 into it with a tep trans
well the builds done still have the cam code and i havent got the headers yet but after a few road tests the car has a whole new feel to it power wise
Not sure when the track opens next but i have a few things left to do till then..
I am curious though
would have read SAFELY MODDING YOUR 3800 many many times before i started my build. would have saved me 2 motors. and also i would have gotten headers from the start and not have messed with the restrictive ass manifolds.
NOT TRUE, It's a hit and miss they should stand up to 13's easily. 99% of people will tell you that you need a new built tranny to handle the power but I have seen people run stock tranny's for a long time and as long as you aren't doing a lot of track time you should be fine they just want the comfort of being able to say their tranny's wont break.
Depending on miles on the car and how it was maintained But before i turbo'd a car ever id make sure it had a trans that could take the abuse
I could be off in my numbers as far as what it will cost but im just ball paking it
And my build was a full build including block and new pistons...
i should of spent the extra cash and bought a gxp
