Based on personal experiences, I would still order from them. Even though others stated they've had issues, I did not have any with my recent order (December). I cannot speak for others though. It's your decision and your money. Just to be safe I suggest ordering through paypal. I've had positive experiences using paypal when having to do a dispute.

    Get it.

I actually talked to the owner for over an hour about my cam and everything. Pretty cool guy nonetheless...oh...and the fact is the guy who orginally started Digital Horsepower lives less than 20 minutes from 3800 Performance's place of business...pretty convenient IMO..especially since the DHP PCM is the best 3.4" and supporting mods PCM if you don't have access to a dyno, tuner...or just don't want to flat out pay a piss load for a tune.

I have access to Exotic Performance Plus: High Performance Auto Parts and Services

Can the stock PCM be tuned? or is software needed? ( I have no experience in the tuning side of things )

You buy it...they send you a already tuned PCM for a basic 3.4" and supporting mods setup. All you do is turn off the car...unplug the battery...and put the PCM in. IIRC they are either 7mm or 8mm bolts...cant for the life of me remember which. Then bolt the new one in...plug the battery back in...and drive her around easy for a few minutes to let the car learn...then beat on it like a misbehaved child LOL. Oh...and send your old one back for the core refund. Sorry...that site is full of fail for our cars btw.

yea, I was meaning to point out that they do dyno tuning. But i guess it would be more logical to buy the 3800 pcm with tune. EEP is like 20 mins away from me. But like you stated, they fail for these type of cars.

Well I say fail because they have a pre-97 supercharger in the 97 or newer section...and a AEM ECU or whatever. These cars either have a tuned PCM from DHP, Intense-Racing, or Will @ Overkill. Or...you can go get it dyno tuned by someone who REALLY knows what they are doing you know? Your in Fort Wanye for god's sake. Talk to this guy.

Triple Edge Performance will not do tuning unless he is doing a trans for you or you are buying motor parts from him.( I asked before doing mine) I am also familiar with EPP and they are not tuning our cars right now( I asked them as well) No matter who tunes it they need the correct software just like any other car( IE...ls1 edit for the LS motors) and whoever custom tunes these cars must have the correct software(DHP power tuner or better yet HPtuners) If you mail order one, they send you one with a canned tune, you swap it out(five mins tops) then you return your original pcm and they send you your refund. If you can find someone to custom tune it for you that is the way to go by a long shot.

and mine was "lost in the mail"...they sent it out, but I never received it. Sounds like BS to me...they lost a lot of credibility with me. They could have just manned up and said they forgot about it or whatever the real reason was...

All they had to do was cancel the last check and write a new one... VERY simple.

and that is what happened. I just wonder why it took 5 emails and two phone calls, and two months to get this resolved? The time an d non responses to emails was my issue, not with the product or that they sent me a check instead of crediting my account. But they finally did get me my check.

i had the same issue with the refund for my pcm but the only reason it takes so long to refund you your money is because once you send it back it goes to a different address then where the actual 3800 performance is!! it then goes through a procedure to make sure that you didnt send it a junk PCM because if you send it a ****ty one that doesnt work i dont think you get ur refund back!!! that's why it takes so long....it took me like 2 months with mine but you just have to be patient with them and keep emailing them about it that way they cant forget!!!

This is BS....then why did they lie to me about issuing a separate check six weeks earlier, avoid e-mails and communication, etc. If that was the case fine, tell me it will be two months. That is not the case, and they have told others that it is about one week after they receive to check it and issue a refund. Please read all posts before saying stuff like that. There is also two threads on this subject. Bottom line: Their customer service was terrible and they did get me my money back even though it was like pulling teeth. I have not purchased anything from them since this happened, and I won't unless they are the only place that I can get something.

maybe they are bullsh*tting you...i dont know i dont work for them!! i simply am just stating what happened with me when i ordered my pcm through them!! and the sh*t i said is what the guy told me on the phone!! i have no reason to stick up for them...i was simply stating what the dude told me and yes i agree with you they should explain what they have to do and give you a more logical time of refund for our money!!! and my refund was $125 bucks and they only refunded me originally $100 of that so then i had to try and contact them again to get the rest of it but eventually it all did come back!! sorry to hear they havent refunded urs yet man...its very frustrating i know!!!
