Derek's Exotic Cars - 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix G8 Concept
anyone else stumble across this?? I'm trying to find more info on it. But AWD on a gp...hahaha. that'd b sweet
ive only seen a couple pics i wanna see it run and drive it
Good luck, pretty sure the last one in existence sold at an auction this last summer. They never got them road worthy anyways cause as soon as they would start driving it the trans would blow because it was from an Aztek or some **** like that. I have a bunch of pictures of it, but photo bucket isn't working.
damn that would be cool
how much do you guys think it wouldve been?
Hood looks like something they sell at Autozone and you 3M tape it on.
I want the wheels on that car so BAD!!! If anyone knows what kind they are let me know. By the way I don't see how this setup is possible unless they swapped in a powertrain out of a trailblazer ss or silverado but then the car would have been converted to 6 lug. I also notice the newer fogs and thought about doing the idea because it looks clean and different. As far as the car I have seen it, but only one pic and just info on it that sounds like it wouldn't be accurate because of the stats.
i CREME over those prototype rims
Posted a pict just so everyone wouldn't have to go to the link. I agree, the hood looks like they ran out of money and threw a POS on it. What's up with the drivers side, I guess they put in a small gauge cluster in it, maybe a clock? Even the rear deck spoiler doesn't look stock, like to see some other angles of it.

Where did you find this info I'm just curious because I would imagine a bone stock ls1 would SHRED a drivetrain out of one of those. I feel like this car is not a prototype, just a fake car. Like I said if anyone can find me more pics of it that would be awesome, because that wing looks like a wingswest wing, and I know those wheels are aftermarket.
few were produced so i've heard.....think its a clip on youtube of one in limited action........
Nope...it is real. Reason being you never saw it is in the question you asked. The differentials they used always exploded from the torque of the LS1...it was a real car...Farnsworth I think has a poop load of pictures of it from back in the day (old manLOL )...
EDITED...because I found this. Coverage from the 2000 SEMA show.

It wasn't the one with the biggest crowds, or the flashiest paint job, but the G8 was certainly one of GM's most intriguing concepts. Why? Because even with its available supercharged V6 and capable chassis, the current Grand Prix just doesn't have enough hustle to compete with the world's finest two-door coupes. But add the G8's 350-horsepower V8 and all-wheel-drive system to the mix and the story begins to change a bit. Throw on a set of 19-inch wheels, drop it an inch, and add 13-inch cross-drilled brake rotors and now you're talking about a sport coupe that can wipe the floor with just about anything.
Of course, Pontiac doesn't have crates full of 19-inch wheels and cross-drilled rotors laying around the engineering center, but they do have plenty of power-packed V8s and the Versatrak all-wheel-drive system at their disposal. Throw in a T-56 six-speed tranny from the soon to be departed Firebird and Pontiac would have the hottest sport coupe on the market this side of an M3.
