where is the DA? will i meet him when i go to court?
|
im sure it is on the log, i passed the tests he gave me and i was just trying to be honest with the man, he let me drive home, i must have been alright to drive...
There is no DA, you go before the Judge and in court with the officer. He hears both sides and makes his decision.....do a google seach....a lady actually won a stop sign violation....Ill see if I can find it again.
quite sueprised he let u drive home. just make sure u learn from this lesson. my mom in law works for a few judges and ur ass shoulda been grass(not the smokin' kind)......umay not be so lucky next time!
oh i learned, im just trying to loose the points, im going to college soon and dont need expensivER insurance. Also, when i turn 18 doesnt my record turn clean?
He would just be there to keep from wasting the judge's time. Take pics of the stop light and how it works and show it to him. Show multiple angles and possibilities of the outcomes. No matter what, you can't get charged more than what the officer wrote you up for. All you can do is break even or get a lesser charge. Like I said, I honestly don't know what lesser charge is than yours. That is a weak charge being that you were high. But...... you can't be charged with more than an illegal left turn. That's weak! If there is no DA, you will see the judge straight up. Then you will be charged with illegal left turn...... big deal.
ill explain how most of the time your at a light with an arrow, when it turns green most people in the straight lane inch forward or jump a little. Its the same situation just reversed.
I'd pay the fine and move on. since he didnt write you up for being high. which will be brought up by the cop against your case. and you told the cop you ran the light cause you got them mixed up. so I wouldnt have high hopes on winning.
