Very true, but lets look at this from a different standpoint. If he was smart enough to change and or mask his ip with one of those methods stated wouldn't you think he would also take careful consideration not to use is actual last name or address either?

    The latest from Paypal....

    My query...
Original Message Follows: ------------------------ Form Message customer subject: What do you mean closed- I want my money customer message: Additional Information: 'Transaction ID #34P04084BX601341K) m He ripped me off and I want YOU to get me my money- how can you close a case because he ripped me off- ## other people were also ripped off- maybe we should use credit card instaed of Paypal??'

    And their answer.....
PayPal has concluded the appeal of the following buyer complaint. Transaction Details:------------------------- Seller's Name: TDCRacing Seller's Email: Payments@TopDeadCenterRacing.com Seller's Transaction ID: 06280732MV897633T Transaction Date: Aug ##, #### Transaction Amount: -$###.## USD Your Transaction ID: 34P04084BX601341K Case Number: PP-782-534-594 ------------------------- As stated within the PayPal User Agreement, the PayPal Buyer Complaint Policy does not guarantee recovery of your funds, and recovery is done on a best effort basis. The amount refunded to you represents the total amount PayPal was able to recover from the seller's PayPal account. Although the claim is closed, the dispute is noted in the seller's account records, and the seller will need to complete the refund to you if he/she wishes to continue the use of PayPal's service. Oh yeah, I'm sure TDC is real worried about not getting to use his PayPal account anymore.

I've read every single post in this thread, it's crazy how it escalates back and forth.

I Feel bad for you guys who all lost money to him.. I just don't understand why someone would go through all this for a small amount of money, if you ask me... $5,000 or so isn't worth ruining everything.. Could of made more over time selling parts, helping out, ect.

But, you live & learn, well... I guess some people never do learn.

Yeah Paypal is pretty much useless. It was worth a shot anyway. They don't really care about if people get fleeced, yet they profit by claiming that they make things so much safer and protect buyers. They've finally had to step up and guarantee eBay transactions which is no surprise since they are the same entity. That does us no good though. And by preferring that people use their bank accounts rather than credit cards to supply Paypal transactions, we've just made ourselves much more vulnerable thanks to Paypal. Clearly Parker was well versed on how to keep our money and stop the claims by exploiting Paypal. I'm sure they are not going to get anything from him.

My theory is that when he posted the stuff for sale he might not have really figured on just stealing people's money right then. He may have honestly had something come up in his life, a financial problem maybe, that made stealing the money seem like a good idea. I still think the death in the family bit is total BS since it looked like he used it as a convenient excuse before. It is easy to get sympathy with no proof as you can see early in this thread. The relatively small amount here makes it look like he didn't have this planned out that far in advance and that it was more of a snap decision initially. It is really stupid to get in the amount of trouble he potentially could be in over ~$5,000. However people can do something this stupid if it was a quick decision and they don't have much integrity. Criminals are usually not the brightest people anyway.

Does anyone really know if that is even his real name?

I believe if all you guys file a police report in your town and tell them what this "parker" guy did then take the report to your bank (if you used a debit or bank card)and tell them this guy basicly stole this amount of money they should reimburse u your money and then the bank will go after him for it...somthing like this happened to me b4 but it wasnt an online transaction, and it was for a lil over $600.00 and i got every cent of it back that day. its worth a shot..the worst the bank could tell you is no..my bank told me all i needed was a police report so i called the cops made a report went down that afternoon and got it from the officer and had my loot back b4 the bank closed that day.....it was sky bank but since then they turned over to huntington bank...but again its worth a shot.bc he did basicly steal it from you( theft by deception )..

Hi guys, sorry to hear this is happening to other people as well now...
at the end of last summer I "bought" headers from him that were over $400. He said he was having some difficulties, but assured me he would ship them. Then when he "shipped" them, he said he couldn't get a tracking number...
Needless to say a lot of time went by and after MANY phone calls, emails, pm's he just kept giving me excuses about why I hadn't gotten them yet. The excuses started going in circles and he became tangled in his own lies, they started making no sense and finally he started ignoring me. I left him negative feedback here as well as on other GP forums.
I filed with my CC company and got my money back.

Shortly after all this, he tried selling the exact same headers that I had apparently bought from him on another forum. I posted asking how it is that he can sell them twice considering I never received mine. I don't know if anyone ever bought them or what happened about that...

It wasn't a positive experience I had with him and he seemed to be well known and liked on this forum. So I thought maybe it was just me that something went wrong with, apparently not though.
    Wish you all the best!

Have any of you tried calling him? Sorry, I read the first 10 pages, then read the last few, there's a lot here soo, I haven't read it all truthfully.
In the beginning with my problems the easiest way for me to get ahold of him was through his phone number, but that started being ignored too...
Thought I'd check. His area code is based in Georgia.
