I would like to be wrong and this guy to be legit so I could buy some HIDs from him but currently looking to not be the case.

He appears to be a classic con artist
All he did was build rep, trash competitors, and drag anyone through the mud that didn't agree with him.

Business wise he started doing *small things* to get his name out there, likely targeting more active and supportive members of the community. He slowly did more and more until he put his site up. After it was up for a while he increased the product line to take in more money, then bailed.

Dunno i could be wrong, may just be a guy that turned to fraud during hard times, which isn't an excuse but morally more acceptable than a full blown con artist.

Likely realized he was traceable and is bailing before he faces serious legal charges - and he likely will not post anything on the forums to prevent incriminating evidence.

Being that it was his *primary job* i'm sure an income of 4000-5000 off a scam would be a nice little profit for a guy out of desperation.

Has anyone considered the parts he did sell were not legit and may be stolen? I suggest checking for serials on parts purchased and received.

Also if anyone directly bought from him VIA credit card - turn off that card and get a new card to prevent identity theft.

Your post makes alot of sense and that is a very good point about the credit card deal. I would highly suggest anyone paying by CC to call and have it canceled and have a replacement sent out. I also remember him telling people to call him rather then use the "check out" on his site to place orders. No trail. The fact that he has commented on peoples paypal disputes but still has not posted an explanation on here is a clear indicator he was up to no good. ZZP was right on the money about this guy but unfortunatly he had gained the trust of many members by then.

And yes this is a long thread of b!tching but without it I dont think he would have started issuing refunds. The police post clearly shook him up and decided it probably wasnt a good idea to do this. People also need to vent when someone they trust screws them, its therapy.
