I started with the GT and I loved the handling, the power, and the fuel economy. My other daily driver at the time was a F350 SuperDuty CrewCab V10 with 4" blocks and 33" tires. The 310 HP of the V10 sounds like a lot but the truck weighed 7400 pounds so acceleration was a bit pokey. When you wanted to pass it was like a chess game. The Grand Prix was much more tossable and more fun all the way around.
Then one day on the way home from work in the GT I passed my '02 for sale. Pulled over and checked it out. Took it for a test drive with the windows down and sunroof open. Nailed it at around 40 mph and it got up and hauled (compared to the GT). So I CarFaxed it and later bought it.
