Its the iac sure as shooting. Because at idle the iac has a pintle on the end that installs into the throttle body. And that pintle controls the amount of air flow that is needed the let the car idle. What is happening is that the pintle is sticking closed. And thus when your foot comes off the gas and the throttle blades close the car dies. Its cutting the air flow off from the intake that it's sucking in from the throttle blades being open. Go get an iac and change it and that will solve the problems. If there the same fastners on the gen 2's it should be either a t-20 or a t-25 torx bit tool.
