I am looking at buying a GP. Looking on EBAY and autotrader there are a bunch of different models to choose!!! I want something fast and something I can do some modding too (just had twins so can't do too much yet). Here is what I am looking at:

    GXP (05-08)
GTP (not sure on years made)
Newer GT that is Supercharged (07)

Which one is the best? I am looking for something that gets decent mpg's and would do good in the MI winters. Oh ya I am looking to spend less than $12,000-$13,000. Which ones can use regular gas (87)? Thanks in advance!!!!!

Previous cars: 09 Dodge Ram Hemi, 300c, Charger.

That is what I thought, but wasn't sure. I read that the GXP takes 87 but many use 93.

personally, i wouldnt use 87 at all, carbons up the engine. I have torn apart my motor many thousand miles later on 93 and there is not a hint of buildup, it burns that much cleaner.

LOl. It is a hard choice. I always wanted a supercharger but the GXP has a lot of cool options and some flowmasters would sound good on them.

Get an 04+ gtp. Especially if you like the s/c whine. I love it and everyday I wish my car was supercharged. Anyway you'll get better mpg in a gtp and the 3800 engine is an excellent engine.

A n/a gp can be supercharged. It's what we call a top swap. It can cost around $1200. I've been looking into it. But I would stay away from a s/c on eBay. And that gxp seems to be priced pretty reasonably. I'm not to sure what gxp's go for but it seems pretty fair.

I just purchased a 2006 GXP for 11900 (June 1, 2009). Was looking at a 2005 GTP Comp for 11500. I think the dealer would of gone lower on the 2005 model but I was sold on the GXP after the first test drive. Dropped some more money into it and now I am really loving it. Hope this helps

I have a 2008 GXP, bone stock, 22-25 mpg overall consistently, running on 91 octate non-ethanol gasoline. I've put 15,000 miles on mine. Don't know how that gas mileage compares to an S/C or a standard 3800, but I'm sure pleased with my performance (for now) and gas mileage.

I bought dedicated winter tires on separate rims from The Tire Rack for my GXP since I have 45 miles each way to work on country roads in fine Wisconsin winters...so I can't help you too much with whether 'stock' is good in the snow. Mine's great with the snow tires on, obviously.
