So the pony car has always been an icon, and for myself a car I've liked. So latley I've been trying to match up with SS, Z28 Camero's and GT Mustangs. The cameros I can beat as long as they are bone stock, and later gen Mustangs the same. But with the new Mustangs, I haven't beat yet. Need a few more mods. I get em off the line, they pass me up around 40-50, and then after 60 I start to pull back on them from about two to three cars, but they never hang in long enough for me to overcome them. Sometimes once I launch on them they quite then too. It's been fun, I'm just glad I can hang with the some of the V8's. I've gotten sick of racing the tuners.

besides the exhaust..I pulled off the intake box, and right off the intake I installed a K&N cone...it opened up my supercharger a lot. My boost fills faster and higher, and it sounds great. That and the hood, but I'm sure that does next to nothing. But I don't know what it did for numbers. It's enough for me to smoke same year GTP Coupe's, and the new one's. (Haven't ran a compG yet) I've lost to some Camero's and beat others. Not sure what the difference was with any of them. But I know one guy just had exhaust from cat back, and beat me. I know I don't have a lot done, but I hold my own pretty well. I tend to do better with the Camero's from a roll than a dig, and even from a dig around 70+ I tend to catch back up. The Mustang's are easier to beat though. With the 13 sec. comment. I never have ran a track, so I have no clue what I would do, but here in my town I've been keeping up with a lot of guys who claim they run 13's. Maybe the few camero's I ran were high milers or something. Cuz like you mentioned I'm not beating the new GT Mustangs yet...just make em nervous. But I haven't ran one past 60mph yet, cuz they quit when I start to pull back.

Here's a quick vid link with me, 240, and a firebird. It's all I got for video.

The wierd exhaust is not my car, and you can see the firebird in the sideview mirror. It was the v8, but had some raspy exhaust. Check out the GS-R race too if you want.

yea im just saying your car must move out pretty well cause those are not slow cars. if its the camaro with the 4 head lights, lt1, there not that fast. but the newer ones with 2 headlights, ls1, pffff they move out good.

what did you do to the supercharger. good runs tho

Nothing done to s/c yet. Mileage says it's due for oil and bearings so that will come before any upgrades. Also I want to make the motor "ready" before I start throwing pullies on it. Did you check out the vid with the firebird. It's the only one I got with that kind of car so far.

Not sure about headlight stuff...Still learning GM. I just look for badges. From the sounds of it the LS1's are mean motors, and the LT's aren't...what are the LT's put in?

i think 93-97 camaros and firbirds. i raced a lt1 camaro and he couldent pull away, ive also raced ls1 camaro and they walk me like a dog. the ls1's are very strong. even up top. they can hang with 03-04 cobras. also the firbird in the video sounded like a v6. and that rx7 looked like a nissan 240 coupe.

just an fyi ls1 camaro's put 330hp/330tq to the ground. not crank hp but to the wheels. in a 3500lb. your car problew puts 220hp/250tq to the ground..

Not to argue..you know more about GM than I do, but I've raced V6 camero's and such, and I put miles on them. And you were right 240..I couldn't remember so I guessed. I'll just shut up about the Camero thing...I was just proud that my sedan can hang with the V8 coupes!

it sounds like a v6 thats why i say. if it was a v6 it deff sounded like it had some bolt-ons cause it sounded strong for the v6. if it was the v8, it must have an exhaust leak cause it just does not sound right at all.

That would make anyone happy. To walk on a V8 sports car regardless LT or LS. Don't get me wrong, the LS's do run, but it's the fact that you took a V8. Video was pretty sweet.

That loud exhaust you hear is the 240...but the firebird did have a raspy exhaust..I didn't hear it though unitl I got behind him on an offramp.

And damn it was such a nice day so I washed and waxed my car..and now a storm is coming in...I can't wait to move out of colorado..just a few more days!
