I wouldnt mind doing that at some point, but mind you, twisters dont have the same impact captured by a still camera as they do when on video.
thats pretty mcuh what was in my mind when i asked. im a film student so i pretty much think of everything the way it would look on camera and a tornado would look amazing. but its true lightning will never look as cool on film as it does in still pictures. the timing of this is pretty funny cause i read this first thing this morning when i woke up and last night there was a tornado in my area and i kept trying to go outside to try to see it but my madre flipped her sh!t.

if it wasnt an automatic front wheel drive four door grandmas car it would be really nice

I'd probably take C and end up B because of it. During the course of B I'll probably A.

Why didn't you stay with them?!?!

I used to do this years and years ago. used to stay on 55 from texas to chicago every single day for 2 seasons.

    Whats your truck look like?

I used a SBC powered GMC safari gutted for mine.

Nice pics, every time we get a storm here( usually on my way to work with spectacular sky covereing lightning I never can get the camera ready fast enough.

I used the GP for a long time then when it went down due to the differential I picked up an Isuzu Rodeo. Once I get the GP back on the road, I'll outfit it a bit better for chasing storms.

I had a laptop stand in the GP so I could use my weather/radar software to keep track of everything including the warnings, watches and lighting. I'll eventually build a laptop stand for the Rodeo and set it up so I can have a scanner and maybe a portable TV and other stuff like that.

Id ultimately like to get the WxWorx package from XM Satellite as it is a pretty darn comprehensive package and offers a lot of great information for keeping tabs on storms.

Also, I just got last year was the bushnell ONIX 400, it uses your XM subscription to get weather to the second. Got caught in a wild one last fall on a hog hunt in michigan, horizon darkened up, pulled it out and had realtime doppler on the handheld.

My safari had the driver side rear cargo area all electronics, from 2-ways to the cb to scanners to computers and tv's that ran off one of them old boomerang antennas on the top.

I miss it, alot but kids and wife and being a manager kinda prohibits my time from fun anymore.

How far from ENID are you?

I chased a storm out to there one time a few years ago. Was right on the outskirts of Enid but never went into the city.

It can be as many of the storm form out in that western area. Then OKC is a good place to shoot as well just off the turnpike where that broadcast tower farm is, though Ive never gotten any shots from there.
