then you get a g/f/wife and it's like your mother never left
yeah playing in tornadoes is a lesson best learned on your own lol youll either:
a)sh!t your pants and run back inside
b)die
c)chase tornadoes with a camera the rest of your life
i have a feeling ill be c.
oh god i couldnt imagine having a girlfriend like my mother. all of my exes have been the exact opposite of my mother.
hahahaha
same crap different girl, i tend to go for psycho *****es....plus i dont really see a reason to stay with someone if i dont even think im in love with them...im just sticking to friends with benefits for now untill i find the right girl. it works for me and its cheaper that way...![]()
I used to do this years and years ago. used to stay on 55 from texas to chicago every single day for 2 seasons.
Whats your truck look like?
I used a SBC powered GMC safari gutted for mine.
Nice pics, every time we get a storm here( usually on my way to work with spectacular sky covereing lightning I never can get the camera ready fast enough.
I used the GP for a long time then when it went down due to the differential I picked up an Isuzu Rodeo. Once I get the GP back on the road, I'll outfit it a bit better for chasing storms.
I had a laptop stand in the GP so I could use my weather/radar software to keep track of everything including the warnings, watches and lighting. I'll eventually build a laptop stand for the Rodeo and set it up so I can have a scanner and maybe a portable TV and other stuff like that.
Id ultimately like to get the WxWorx package from XM Satellite as it is a pretty darn comprehensive package and offers a lot of great information for keeping tabs on storms.

Also, I just got last year was the bushnell ONIX 400, it uses your XM subscription to get weather to the second. Got caught in a wild one last fall on a hog hunt in michigan, horizon darkened up, pulled it out and had realtime doppler on the handheld.
My safari had the driver side rear cargo area all electronics, from 2-ways to the cb to scanners to computers and tv's that ran off one of them old boomerang antennas on the top.
I miss it, alot but kids and wife and being a manager kinda prohibits my time from fun anymore.
How far from ENID are you?
Oh gosh, I bet Im 150 miles or so from Enid, thereabouts.
Scotty that is pretty schweet man!! Didn't know you did that, those are pretty awesome.
I chased a storm out to there one time a few years ago. Was right on the outskirts of Enid but never went into the city.
Lightnings are turds, power to weight is ubsurd, takes some $$$ to get them heffers moving out good.
Thats cool, from waht I understand enid is a hot spot during the storm season.
this will be awesome... TDC my laptop has edge network that I use from my google phone... can track weather on that as well
