They are awsome. Thanks. I was going to say the same. If the military ever moves me out your way, I know where I'll be hanging out.lol!!!! Not just for the storms, but that would be a bonus.

Here are two of my favorites, probably because they were the first strikes I ever captured on film and both were published.

I was still very much learning how to set up the camera then to keep control on the brightness so they were kinda washed out, but still my favorites, though Ive captured what I think are more stunning strikes.

When I first started out it was absolutely NOTHING for me to spend every bit of $1000 - 1500 in film and processing charges I was taking so many pictures and chasing so much. When I finally added up the costs of using film, switching to digital was a no brainer and just plain cheaper and so I bought a professional Digital SLR that I still use to this day.

And I'll do what very few other chasers will do, I'll shoot lightning during the daylight hours too. THAT was a skill that took me quite some time to get down and do effectively.

You should see the high resolution versions, LOL. Im going to try and purchase a new Pro Digital SLR this year and double my resolution capability.

I want SO bad to get XM's weather service package, but its a bit pricey, but one of these days. Its pretty much right on par with the same stuff the weather stations use and I can get weather information anywhere rather than having to be near some type of internet service such as WiFi because the XM stuff obviously is all satellite based.

No doubt, Im very much looking forward to being so close to the lightning again I can hear it sizzle as it streaks through the sky ionizing the air. Nothing at all quite like that.

    Damn scotty luck bastered :-p

I was stuck at work when i could have been with ya chasing the storms.
The thunder was so intense tonight at work i was in the middle of the building ( old walmart / kmart size) in a meeting and could feel the rumble in the chair.

On a side note. 3 confirmed tornado touch downs tonight in the city

Im fine, it was more south of me. I chased a cell that was rotating but buy the time I got on it it was a whole lotta rain and wind like super crazy. I wish I had brought some soap and shampoo, it would have been a more productive night.
