Oh my gosh! Last night (Sunday, early am Monday) We had a fairly bad storm. Lots of hail. My Poor GP!!! Hail got it and Only it.? Kinda crazy to me. I need a new Hood and trunk. Between the windshield and sunroof can probably be fixed. And there is damage on the Drivers side. The hood is bad. I'll try to post up pics tomorrow. I have Never made a claim against my own insurance!!! So, if I want to, will my insurance go up? Thanks, and feel sorry for me?

Thanks! I tried to get a picture of the damage, but for some reason, it don't really show up. I think cause maybe the car is dirty. Well, I'm calling the insurance co. now. Wish me luck.

Ok. Called my agent. My insurance won't go up because, "that is what I pay for". She said, It's not like I went out and hit someone and it was my fault. She said it is an act of God, and I can't help that. So, I will get my car fixed with NO extra charge to me. Last time I ordered a hood from PFYC, it took them WAY too long. Then, it was out of stock. Guess I'll try again.

God do I feel your pain. Hood, trunk and now I'm finding a spot or 2 everytime I wash. We have a portable hail repair person set up shop in town since the tornado I might give him a shout before my insurance. You have anything like that around you? think they charge per dent here. Might be worth a look.

I have 2 friends that work at the GMC dealer here in the body shop. I was hoping that I could pay for my hood as my deductable somehow? How much do you all think they will appraise a factory hood for?
no dent tent here now. We've had em before though. I have too many dents to pay individually.

laurie is your car paid off with no leins on it? if so go to a reputable (expensive bodyshop) and get a quote from them and then find another one and get a quote from them. give it to the claims adjuster and depending on the amount they cut the check for you might not only be able to pay the deductable in full but have enough money to buy a used good condition hood and trunklid with some spare change left over for yourself. if there are no leins on the car then you can ask for the check to be in your name and they can do nothing about it.

We get quite a bit of crappy weather, but this is my first time to have any damage. Our first ice storm, I had a giant tree branch on top of my car. No dent. Nothing. I guess the 2 inches of ice helped protect it.haha
Yup, gotta lien A big one

    Total Loss on GP
Got 'em to take off some of the damage because they wanted to total it and give me a Salvaged Title. Um, no. Wrote me a check on the spot.
No one will recognize my car when the see it again

I got me a new Hood, Spoiler, and the front ?air damn? piece. The 3pc package deal from PFYC. My appointment is May 10th to have it ALL done. My friend will have it for about a week. Not bad for 1 grand. Plus the 1k for the new parts. Got me some Reflective Concepts too!!
