W-Body Lives matter
All Pontiac Lives Matter...
Except Grand Ams, f*ck those guys.
I've owned six Grand Prix's, four Buicks, and an Olds Intrigue. All 3800's. And that doesn't count the cars I've test driven but didn't buy - countless Olds 88's, Regals, etc. If it has a 3800 in it, I'll drive it, break it, and fix it.
One of the Grand Prix's was well into the 12s if I would ever buy good tires for it. At least two others were modified to varying degrees. One I sold to a friend after replacing a blown head gasket, and now he's thrown tog headers and a smaller pulley on it. I have a top swapped LeSabre in the driveway now and an 03 limited edition Grand Prix in pieces in the garage waiting for gaskets to come in the mail.
I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, although I'll probably soon look more at the Buick LaCrosse and 04+ Grand Prix's... I'll be tinkering with these cars for at least five to ten more years.
That aren't all ragged out?
Not hardly.
Only dealers are charging high prices for GXP's. I had mine up for $10k, sold it for 500 bones less. When you take care of something and have everything fixed in it with low mileage, the value is still there. Don't forget it was nearly a $40k car optioned out a decade ago.
^^ THIS!!! Nick takes care of his **** too. Guy that bought his GXP is a lucky man. Now the person whom buys my bucket is gonna be in for a real treat LOL.
I'm late to the W-body game by about 10 years. I bought 2001, 2000, and 1998 GT sedans for the girls when they first got their licenses in 04 and 05. (Only 2 kids but the 00 got totaled and was replaced by the 98.) I enjoyed working on them and reading here about how you guys were modding them, so decided to look for a GTP coupe to use as a daily. It's been fun to drive and not a lot of $$. Once it's done there probably won't be any left to buy, so will be on to the next, whatever that is. For now, having fun.
Once I've done everything I can to mine, I'll keep it as a fun DD and find something else to play with, probably...
I still want to 3800 swap an old VW bug. Lol
Hey, why is there a black G6 Coupe in the top/right corner of this board? I've always wondered....
Cuz Pontiac.
Minus the grand am.
There's the saving grace!
There's always an exception to the rule.
Well in Oregon rust isnt a issue so forget about that. There are still alot of Gp's on the road here and there are alot in the JY's also granted most are SE's. How many of these things did they make anyway! I dig my car and dont plan on leaving anytime soon and best thing is the suprised look on dudes faces when they get worked over by a PoS 97 Gp
I just noticed that...you have made my day, good sir.

Blue book in excellent condition is $6,982.

And this was only after searching for maybe 5 mins.

GXP's go for 10k+ up here. Lol
I ditched mine because the transmission was horrible. The turbo setup was so fun, but it gets really old to feel your wallet squeeze whenever you get on it. The G8 is the way to go. 4 doors, V8, RWD, tons of potential. It's everything the Grand Prix was, and more.
