Seller
1) send an invoice with a general description of item and when and how shipped.
2) PayPal withholds approximately 3% fees of the the total price including shipping.
3) Only ship to the address provide by PayPal. Don't change it no matter what you have in email etc... Buyer can get all his money back..
4) different address means cancel the transaction and have buyer pay again with correct address. Only way to qualify for seller protection.
5) print shipping label using PayPal or upload tracking. Always get tracking! If it's delivered to the address in PayPal seller protection kicks in.
6) if it's expensive ($500....) get signature required.
7) I never pay for additional insurance....it's very time consuming to get money out of the post office and you have to go do it in person.
Buyer
1) negotiate price with fees include or add 3%.
2) pay invoice or send money for goods and services which seller pays 3% fees.
3) include a description of the deal including condition
4) get a shipping date and request tracking.
5) have correct address in PayPal.
5) if you have a problem file a claim with PayPal. Don't have to call, you can do it from a computer.
6) 1 day past shipping date or item is broken etc...., file a claim.
7) PayPal will refund you quickly and on a time line weather the money comes from seller or PayPal.
I had a guy owed me $40 bucks. 3 weeks later I'm still emailing him but he is short. Filed a PayPal claim and got money back quickly. Pretty much 15 minutes and PayPal did the rest.
