This is why we install the Dorman 34mm SOLID swaybar and forget about it.
Likely cheaper for GM to produce across the lines and is "adequate" per their engineering.

Does it really make a difference? Or is it only noticable if you race/drift your car?
Seems too help. Also, how many times do you want to mess with the hollow junk that will break again? 1 and done.
Here's what 300 bucks gets you in head work in Columbus. They broke a valve guide, valve seal seats are all uneven. Seats are wider than i270. So pissed right now. They had the heads for 2.5 weeks and the only reason I got them tonight was because I was sick of their broken promises and called in several times today....they said they would be done early this week. So they told me they were ready and I come in to find half the valves won't even seat because they were too tight. He's hurriedly sanding the stems. Such precision. Also the valve tips are all different heights. Anyways, these are going in the trash. I'm just gonna grab a set tomorrow at the yard and hope I can find something decent. So much for trusting a Google 4.5 star rating.
Honestly, this is the second shop where I feel they treat V6 customers like lower class. I just get a weird vibe and imagine them making jokes when I was all out. It could all be in my head though. This is why I've learned to DIY about anything that needs fixed. I just don't trust anyone with my stuff. Sucks.
The photos of the valve stems are to show the valve seal seat heights uneven. The valves aren't seated in those pics. Hard to get a photo that shows how uneven the tips are. This is the 3rd valve job I've had on these and they may have been uneven before. But crap, any decent machinist should have noticed this and said something. He also should have mentioned how wide the seats ended up and recommended new valve seats. If I run these I'll be lucky if I don't break a valve or something. If also need different length pushrods because the lowest tip to the highest is probably 1/16th to 1/8" different.
Oh they are going back for sure. Once again I'm the idiot for trusting someone who should just know better. They're not open tomorrow or I'd be at the door when they open. Was hoping to get this thing together this weekend. Oh well. Didn't want to start over with a different set of heads because all the time I had in porting these.
I just hope that the L32 engine is still at pick-n-pull. It was a pretty clean car. I think the valves are a smidge bigger on the L32 too. And I've already got some of that engine disassembled.
I picked up a used set of heads ported by Chris Hinson, then took them to a machine shop and had a valve job done on them. They were L32 heads to begin with.
L32 heads we're gone Grabbed a set from a 2000 Park Ave. Took them to a proper shop. It was the shop who did my heads 4 years ago. Good people. Only reason I didn't go there this time was because I couldn't get ahold of anyone. Come to find out their phone lines were out for a week. Anyways, their gonna clean, flux, do valve job and assemble. 100 bucks. And deck if needed. Sadly won't have them back till Tuesday. But I'm happy they are in good hands.
Come on dude, give me a little credit here. considering I had to remove a supercharger to get to the heads I think I'm good.
So the machine shop I took my "new" heads to is having an issue with their parts washer. Motor burnt out last week. They finally get the motor Monday, but then the electrician didn't get out till today to hook it up. Don't ask me why they needed an electrician to hook up a replacement motor. Anyways, they get the motor hooked up and now find a seal is blown out and they can't find a replacement. Crap happens. I wanted to do some porting before they did the seats so I brought them home after taking them to a carwash to clean them up a bit. 30 minutes in I decided I really don't want to port them, at least I don't feel like putting in another 20 hours. Just touched up some obvious spots in the bowls and that's it. These heads are actually in a lot better shape than my first set. I normally would post some pics but I'm just tired. Been a busy couple weeks. I just want to start turning my wrench clockwise and get this thing on the road.
